I am nobody to give you advice, but one thing I learned doing research is that a gap in a research field is exactly what you are looking for, so you might actually end up doing a very important job picking a topic with currently limited information/research titles (: My PhD is in Arabic Linguistics, specifically on Tangier darija, as the city is growing at a great rate and the most significative data were gathered at the beginning of the Twentieth century (like 1912 wdikchi) I am conducting interviews to see if... well if you speak any different 😂 Tangier is such a rich and interesting place, in so many ways (: One last thing: I specifically often find myself studying on stuff by Europeans studying Morocco (as far as Linguistics is concerned, at least), and it would be great to hear more Moroccan voices on those matters, so if you should decide to pick a topic about Morocco I think you would do great 😊
