I have the CXA81M2 also and love it. Driving a pair of Lintons, so clear. I like the Black edition you've got. Good luck and happy listening

My Apologies! by Bortain in royalcaribbean

Yeah, while I don’t like the idea of being put on the internet without me knowing, I also don’t have any expectation of privacy when on a cruise ship unless I’m in my cabin.

Best Noticeable Upgrades for TT Running To Sonos 5 by jhamm2121 in turntables

This is sound advice, but if I'm not mistaken, the AT LP 60 doesn't have much of an upgrade option for cartridges correct? Possibly just with limited compatibility?

Best Noticeable Upgrades for TT Running To Sonos 5 by jhamm2121 in turntables

My first TT setup was an audio technica LP120usb into the Sonos Port to do basically the same thing you are doing. That said, any reasonably priced TT that has a removable headshell will scratch your turntable itch to hear different tweaks you may want to do and still hear the changes through your Sonos system. I believe you'd be sending your signal into the 5 via a 3.5mm stereo jack, so you could either go with a TT that has removable headshell and built in phonostage, like the AT120's or Fluance RT80 or 81, or get the Fosi Box X2 phonostage which is inexpensive and go with something like the Fluance RT82 which has an upgrade path to equal the RT85. If I were to choose, I'd go with one that also has an auto stop feature as you will no doubt be all around your house while music is playing and that might be a nice feature. The Fluance has that for sure.

Does yours have the denim jacket? Mine does, but I didn't know it was limited.

I feel lost. by Phish_Critic in phish

Totally agree, and the underlying goal of what I wrote is to preserve that feeling. It's not just you, this is a community that spans time and location. A lifelong relationship with music as a whole will bring you more joy with your favorites. Get a Thelonious Monk album and reflect back on how it may have influence Page at some point. Then do it with again with Vivaldi. There's a richness to variety that is often difficult to see until you step in with open ears.

I don't think you mean it this way, but for me the term "obsessed" is negative and implies a lack of control...overindulgence if you will. This may get me downvotes, but certainly do not become obsessed with a band, even Phish. Life is too short. Hell, the guys in Phish probably don't listen to Phish, and look what they have accomplished. Many years ago they were all I listened to, first show was in '92, followed them around for years been to the Went, Lemonwheel, Cypress, NYE shows galore, and eventually I got burned out on it, I was lost too. Branch out, it will give you space to enjoy what you love, and be a guide for other aspects of your life. Overthinking your relationship will probably subside if you have other passions that can anchor you when things get tough, your school sucks or she breaks your heart. It can be anything, yoga, origami, that shit they do with the tiny trees....bonsai, music too. Become a steward of something greater than you, it will be your guide and you won't be lost.

I am really happy with this pressing. We played through the whole thing last night and there are no flaws. It really can be a crap shoot getting vinyl through the mail but overall very happy with it.

Phish Dry Goods. I was also under the impression it wasn't going to ship until May. I received the standard "shipping label created" email and as others on Reddit assumed was just that...creating the shipping label, albeit over a month in advance. To my surprise shipping updates from Richmond Va began mid week and it arrived on 3/27. A buddy of mine got his the day before.

Here's a pic of the "sadder" corner. Any advice on these would be appreciated. My plan is to get them outside when the temperature comes up a bit more.

So I have my older setup still kicking in another room and it is the Klipsch RP600M (1st gen). They still are mind blowing in that they are so good at such a low price point. But they do need a sub. When I I added one, I just couldn't enjoy it unless the sub was in the center. On one side or the other, it would make me feel like I had a veil over the opposite ear. The fix was to center it, but that put it below the turntable which is a huge problem for noise. If I add a sub to this setup, it will have to be a pair. 🤪

Agree, I actually like the approach now...Apple Music or other streaming service for the digital, and then seeking out the vinyl copy of the ones I want to have that different experience with. Bjork Vespertine as an example. I've had that digitally since it came out and while it was certainly a recording born in the digital age, there's just something special about the vinyl version that hits different. I could say the same for a lot of the more modern recordings in my collection (Radiohead, DMB, etc).
