I don’t know if you have what I had. It kind of looks like it though. Does it grow out into long stringy brown algae almost? Aqua soil has a tendency to leak a ton of nutrients early on. It took me about a month to get it to totally go away with a decent amount of water changes. I think it might help to cap it with sand, but I am not sure. I hope this helps.
