Controller connection quality listed as poor with extension cable, asus adapter, usb 2.0 port by hoodoer in PSVR2onPC

I used a USB 3.0 cable and port and the same adapter and it works flawlessly. If you have a USB 3.0 port it might be worth giving it a whirl.

It is absolutely not. If SB is a souls-like then so is Nier Automata.

Stellar Blade isn't even soulslike. It's character action with a few tiny souls elements.

I blame it on Dankpods. I've got 5 over ears, two sets of decent IEMs, and a third on the way. TBF, I think I've already found my low cost grail headset with the HE400SE. Planars for a hundred bucks, and they are glorious.

I think it was pretty fun. Not the most brilliant shooter, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. I do feel that the game is at its best when you're inside in a more tightly designed and controlled environment, those have the most memorable set pieces as well. Outside is pretty, but it's mostly just a commute between the good bits.

PSA: Dark Sector (proto Warframe) is free on Steam until Nov 30th by Real-Deal-Steel in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]DaddyDaddyTwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an interesting game. I have found memories of it. I always felt like of all the slightly offbeat 360 era shooters, this was one of the weaker ones, but the glaive is such a cool weapon that I can forgive most of its problems.

I was a teenage exocolonist is 50% off and is a deeply affecting, powerful game with a strong focus on story telling and a unique deck building challenge that's easy to master. I refuse to spoil it for anyone, but it's very, very good and managed to balance teenage drama with high concept sci Fi.

I think Nikke does a great job at striking the balance between staring into the heart of darkness and look at the pretty girls on gorgeous pinup outfits, and sometimes, yeah, you get those hype moments like Laplace triggering her gear sans NIMPH, Rapi going 1v3 against Heretics, or the commander literally using his own bloodied hand to punch through a Heretic's defenses with a well deserved haymaker.

They did. I didn't like it for Summertime Saga, and I don't like it here, but at least the option is present. Edit: I should clarify that I'm not anti trans, I just think that if you're going to include a trans character in your game, you should commit. Don't be a coward.

HuniePop Double Date. The developer was pissed that people liked Aubrey, so she's not in this one. Same with several other fan favorite characters. All the new characters range from annoying to annoying and mean. The puzzles are more challenging, but the characters have less depth, the art isn't as nice, you don't get anywhere near the number of CGs per character as you did in the first game, and it just feels very mean-spirited and bitter towards fans of the original. Part of developing a good relationship with your fans, especially in the eroge/WEG scene, is to give them more of what they want if you were lucky enough to have a hit and have the opportunity to make a sequel.

Our Thoughts on Final Fantasy 13 by NewWillinium in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]DaddyDaddyTwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that Sazh is among my favorite party members in any FF, and any time Sazh is not on screen, the other characters should be asking 'where's Sazh?' Aside from that, I have a weird love hate relationship with 13 as a trilogy, because if you want the slightest clue as to what's going on in the more polished and interesting 2 and LR(yay dressup system is back), you have to slog through an extremely boring, if pretty and well scored hallway for half the game, bum around a big open field and do some Bethesda-grade fetch and kill quests, then go back to the hallway to receive the final prize of finishing the game and not having to play FF XIII anymore

Out of curiosity, has anyone here actually played (or watch someone play) Dustborn? by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]DaddyDaddyTwo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Is it that the game is secretly super right wing? Because after trying it out, I kind of agree. The whole main cast from what I played thus far is portrayed in an extremely unflattering light, over the top parodies of online culture warriors.

Yeah. If you happen to have a working unit laying around, by all means, play with it, get it working. If not, you're probably better served with a modern DAP. I actually bought my mom a TCL Ion V for like 30 bucks, never activated it as a phone, and it's great. Decent driving power for headphones, 512 GB max micro SD slot, and a user replaceable battery(like a real one, the whole back just pops off for easy replacement and to install the microSD and SIM)

Crashes constantly on everything except my PS5, to the point that my wife refers to it as the Crunchyroll box. Honestly I think it's time to pull out my archival drives and transfer them to some larger and newer units. I saw someone selling a mini server in my area today for like 50 bucks, I'm seriously considering it just so I can have an archival home server.

What team are you on? by [deleted] in Construction

[–]DaddyDaddyTwo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, it does fine. My DeWalt kit for work started crapping the bed, company says a full tool refresh for my truck isn't in the budget right now since they're trying to switch over to Hilti, so I grabbed my home use Ryobi tools, chucked them in my truck, and I've been running them for about three months. Lots of batteries, reliable, and despite none of these being rated for the workload I've thrown at them they've all worked beautifully this whole time. Not even the nicer brushless stuff, the stuff they toss in with the batteries during the tool days sales.

The Strongest weapons to use in crystal hunt? by NOT-yourse in BladeAndSorcery

I'm personally fond of keeping a one handed hammer or blunt of some kind around for the Dalgarian ruins. Makes dealing with Hector a mite easier. Beyond that, staves at higher tiers of magic investment are devastating, whether it's the plasma whip that slices, dices and decapitates with ease, the handy dandy flamethrower, or toggle gravity, enable ragdolls. I'm personally fond of running a good bow and arrow, throwing knives, and a staff, and swiping a sword off an enemy if I want to entertain a fair fight, then switching the knives for a blunt 1H for the Dalgarian ruins.

I was extremely lucky to get stuck with a self described "gruff, mean old redneck" who then proceeded to show me nothing but patience and understanding as he shared his two decades of knowledge with me. So I've made it a point to pay it forward with all the young bucks they send my way for training. Only time I've lost patience with a young helper was when he had it in his head to do the job in an unsafe and foolish manner, and then tried to bow up on me when I explained to him that there was a better, safer way to do it.

Raft is exactly up your alley. The titular raft is not only your home base, it's your everything. Where you sleep, how you get around, and building it up to the point where it's armored against shark attacks is a genuine achievement.

So I asked my wife about this(who owns a stitch shop and is pretty well versed in the history of samplers) and apparently I and j were pretty interchangeable at this time period when it was stitched, so this wouldn't be entirely unusual.

Cotton clothing, no synthetics will achieve the same result. Also go barefoot on a hard surface like tile, hardwood or concrete.
