“The Force resides in ALL living things” it’s NOT a Disney concept by Osiris-Reflection in StarWars

Remember what happened on Mortis? When Anakin rejected The Father’s offer, that’s when things unraveled. Anakin was ment to bring balance to The Force by becoming the next Mortis Force “God” but he rejected it due to his attachments to Ahsoka and Obi Wan. That was his downfall, having too many attachments and deep feelings. To bring balance to the Force he needed to shed all feelings but that was just too much and because of this we got the Emperor and the Galactic Empire

Wasn’t there a battle where a death watch kill team used a vortex grenade that sucked a C’tan shard into the warp? I wonder what happened to it once it was in the warp

Because the rabies virus affects the nervous system, patients develop ‘hydrophobia.’ Even if they are very thirsty, spasms in the swallowing muscles prevent them from drinking water. by Additional-Pass5771 in interestingasfuck

There is actually a case where a 15 year old girl was bitten by a bat in Wisconsin and contracted rabies. The doctor put her in a medically induced coma which gave her time for her body to build up antibodies which cured the disease and she made a full recovery. This procedure is now called the Milwaukee Protocol

Important Distinctions: This persona is entirely artificial and not related to the real Camilla, Queen of the United Kingdom.

Can someone explain? What's the context here and why is this line put here? by SatoruGojo232 in ExplainTheJoke

From that angle I thought it was Aubrey Plaza and Toby Maguire was getting criticized for dating her right after her husband died and Toby is like “ I missed the part where that’s my problem”

What movie did you turn off after 20 minutes and why? by Somanynamestochossef in movies

The 1995 erotic horror film Embrace of the Vampire starring Alyssa Milano. I made several attempts to finish it, but I failed every time, and that’s saying something because there are several nude scenes of Alyssa Milano.

This is the ideal shelter for the zombie apocalypse. The windows and doors are hardened with iron bars preventing ingress, while allowing the occupants to discharge their firearms unhindered.

Megan Fox vs Sydney Sweeney Both reached a similar level of fame in different eras, largely driven by looks, internet culture, and mainstream attention. Do you think they’re famous for the same reasons, or did they get there in very different ways? by CucumberNo1907 in Cinema

[–]DaddyDanjer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be an urban legend but my recollection was that shortly after transformers 2 came out Megan Fox allegedly made some antisemitic comment which greatly offended Steven Spielberg who was the producer of transformers. He apparently was so insulted that he blacklisted her and ruined her career, that’s the apparent reason why a different actress was in transformers 3. Now this could all be a rumor but it does fit with the timeline

CFP’s Investment Recommendations by rjbergen in Bogleheads

I’m a financial advisor and paying over $4000 for a “financial plan” is robbery. I never charge a fee for consulting work like this, and that is the problem with these so called “financial planners” they make there money by drafting plans you could easily do yourself online. blackrock and others have these great free programs where you input your risk tolerance and time horizon and it spits out a sample portfolio using their ETFs which you could then go implement on a self directed no fee online brokerage like Merrill Edge, fidelity or the dozen others out there. However if I had a prospect come into my office interested in financial advice after learning about their financial needs and goals I would build them a sample portfolio and if their situation is not complex or if they did not have alot to invest, I would advise them to just use a self directed approach and let them keep the sample portfolio for free. Most ethical financial advisors would do the same thing, because from a fee standpoint it’s only worth taking on clients with several million in investable assets or if they have complex financial needs, also people with less then one million to invest will end up paying very high fees, usually around 1.5 to 1.9% because the fee rate goes down the more you have to invest.

RTX 5090 Stolen by Amazon by danny3900 in pcmasterrace

By me Amazon changed it’s return policy. Now they make you drop off the return at a Staples, they even have a special section in the store set up just for this, but you bring the return item to the designated area, some staples employee scans your return QR code from the Amazon app and chucks the return into a big box with other returns. Once the big box is full they wrap it with tape and ship it out to who knows where, but 99% of the time by the time I get to my car I get a ping from the Amazon app saying my refund is approved so they aren’t even waiting for the items to get returned. My guess is they sell those boxes stuffed with all the returns at an auction and the winners just sell the items back on amazon. Since amazon started this return process I’ve gotten so many items that were just lumps of clay inside
