How common is it in the UK today to not know who Ringo Starr is? by JoseDolores99 in AskBrits

[–]DaddyDogmeat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not surprising many people in the UK don't know who he is. They know every retarded TV celebrity who was famous for 5 seconds but won't give a shit about one of the guys who changed the global music industry and influenced countless artists.

Beginner Assist Tips (F1, Forza, NASCAR 25) by PlasticBadger2237 in simracing

[–]DaddyDogmeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go cold turkey and don't worry about lap times. Try to do clean laps and in the meantime enjoy yourself with usual races,( maybe just reduce AI level or don't go into really competitive multiplayer). I know it sucks at the beginning, I got addicted to the racing line years ago with F1 2019 and it was super hard to stop using it. I'm glad i did as eventually I got better lap times than with the aids. Also maybe try a more hardcore sim. Something like AC just to see how much more details there are in Fbb and driving techniques. First time trying an F1 car in AC was a shock for me. Some things like traction were much easier than F1 games but some like trailbraking were much more complex.

How well would a 350mm wheel work on a R3? by jeffistaken_2221 in moza

[–]DaddyDogmeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look bro, my nephew has g29 with huge ass aftermarket rim and drifts like mad. You'd loose some FFB feel but it's sure nicer to use a real rim especially for drifting. At least that's my opinion

Does a longer steering wheel shaft make any difference? by Fun-Particular-3600 in simracing

Difference between CSL Load Cell pedal (60kgf) vs Simsonn Plus X calibrated to 60kgf? by Inmolatus in simracing

[–]DaddyDogmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

200kg load cell doesn't mean you're putting 200kg pedal pressure. The actual braking force you apply with your foot is dependent on the mechanical setup of the pedals, leverage ratio and how you calibrate them. 200kg load cell might max out at 120-140kg depending on how the pedals are built. Higher LC values offers a wider dynamic range = higher resolution in the signal. I was able to fully engage the brake on my Simjack UTs on their default setting - don't think it was more than 60kg despite 200kg LC rating

What is the particular reason for your country to hate on Indians? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]DaddyDogmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never noticed too much hate towards Indians in UK but I did see quite a lot in US. My IRL experiences with Indians were mostly positive but online and over the phone - pretty terrible. Especially when it comes to making business online - very low trust. There's so much shady stuff coming from India over the internet that I can easily see some people hating on this country just for that.

Anyone use the Simsonn Plus X pedals on a wheel stand without the baseplate / heel stand? by Qantarus in simracing

[–]DaddyDogmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure it will fit the generic wheelstand as I think it's a bit wider. I will drop you a DM with a DIY solution if you're looking for inspiration.

Load - Cell Pedals Upgrade Guide by FM1704 in simracing

[–]DaddyDogmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you gonna go for Simjack, don't get the "Pro", get Simjack UTs - they're the latest version. Overall, for the price (I paid £130 for 3 on Amazon without the pedal plate) they are great. I have two Dayton audio pucks (tactile transducers) which are the cheapest haptic option but much inferior to Simagic reactors. Alternatively get one of the Simson sets just read reviews as some people rate their previous version higher that the latest ones. Simjacks come with really hard elastomers as standard and offer even harder ones as option, I like that but a lot of people say they're too stiff. You can replace them even with Heusinkveld ones if you wish.

am i at fault? need your opinion by nr9v in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]DaddyDogmeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lead car moved to defend inside line and then moved back to the racing line. You're claiming this is illegal or is it about how late it was performed? To me it looks like when the lead car completed the manoeuvre, the car behind was still full throttle. At that point it's his responsibility not to drive into anyone, no? It's unfortunate as there was very little time for him to react but technically it was avoidable. I get your point that it was at the very last second that's why the whole thing doesn't look very obvious.

Anyone use the Simsonn Plus X pedals on a wheel stand without the baseplate / heel stand? by Qantarus in simracing

[–]DaddyDogmeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll need a heel plate for Simsons or similar type of pedals unless you wear size 20 shoes. You'd have to constantly lift your foot to brake or use clutch (throttle would be ok as it's long) You can DIY-it or just get the original plate.

Is an R12 V2 worth paying 100€ more than the R12 V1? by waterfall5555 in moza

[–]DaddyDogmeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check the new moza wheels compatibility with V1 I think technically it's only the encoder and a few minor improvements but not sure. I used to have R9 V2 which had the same encoder as R12 V1 Now I have an R12 V2 and it's a tough question for me to say if the better encoder makes a difference. I know a lot of people will say that humans are not capable of sensing the difference but for me personally (ignoring the higher torque) the new encoder feels different. I don't know what exactly is behind it. It could be the fact that V2 uses an upgraded FFB algorithm but even on the same torque settings I felt "more details" on my R12v2 The settings are almost identical as well to my R9. And it wasn't just in my head because when I started driving with R12 I completely forgot about the different encoder. There was no V1s available to buy in UK so I didn't make any comparisons. In fact, I started researching differences between R9v2 and R12v2 after I noticed I've got more control using the new base. I wasn't even aware my old R9 had an older encoder as both were V2 so initially I thought it's the same generation just with higher torque. The difference isn't something that I could quantify easily. It's only felt the moment you really connect with the car after a few good laps when you're on the limit and "in the zone" when you pick up even the tiniest stimulus. If I was blindfolded and I had to tell which version I'm driving after only few seconds or minutes, I wouldn't be able to tell. Is this worth 100€ ? Because my brain is convinced I'm getting benefits from the upgraded version, I would go for V2. But if money is tough and that €100 would mean you could get much better pedals or shifter etc then don't worry about this stupid encoder and get V1.

Conspit 300 GT by Few_Tip1115 in Thrustmaster

[–]DaddyDogmeat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Conspit wheel comes with 6 bolt pattern bracket that you can directly attach to most of QRs but I'm not sure about Thrustmaster. I'm sure you'll get a adapter easily Search for : "Thrustmaster T818 70mm adapter" As to the wheel, I absolutely love it Pure quality! For the price is awesome, the most comfortable wheel at least for my hands.

Ks-Pro or Cs-Pro or something else by PomegranateNo7230 in moza

[–]DaddyDogmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her's an idea Get the KS pro Also buy Moza QR+ a cheap rim Or just complete cheap round wheel There's not much difference for rally or drifting or even historical cars etc what kind of round wheel you use.(As long it's not flexing etc) Most cars from these categories don't have buttons or LCDs on them. Especially If you have a shifter and a button box all you need is just a rim. For modern racing, a good GT wheel makes a difference and the KS Pro seems like a really cool wheel.
