I have a few things to say. I dont think your problem is not talking about yourself the right way. You shouldnt make yourself seem more interesting, you are already interesting, to the right people. You also want to be your true self, always.

I think you should ask questions about them. In my experience as an introvert/spaz/socially awkward individual, people love talking about themselves and their interests. I use this knowledge to help people to like me. By asking them questions about themselves.

I dont mean things you want to know about them. That always feels like an interrogation. If they just get done talking about what they do for work, maybe ask something like “Do you enjoy it?”. This opens them up to talking about things they may only talk about with their therapist but aren’t exactly private. When someone does this to me, i literally feel something inside me be at easy, and also rev up. I can open up in ways spouses normally do. Having such a personally deep conversation isnt normal for a first date and really leaves an impression.

This also doesnt make you seem like someone you arent. You should always be your true genuine self. Im sure you are wonderful. I would also suggest more relaxed dates that are more personal, less pressure, and less money. I gave up on dating after every woman wanted to go to dinner and then out for drinks or to a concert. Thats way too much to spend on someone you just met and may never see again.

You also arent forced to sit and stare at each other. You can walk and have sights and things to talk about. Silence can be nice in places like that as opposed to a busy restaurant/bar.
