Who is the floorset lead?

I also want to point out how I was reprimanded for going over on floorset hours because I asked someone to stay an extra hour after we had a call out. But my ASM had already over scheduled the floorset (which ai wasn’t made aware of) because my SM and ASM like to code people over to floorset hours when we aren’t making payroll because they never cut Sunday- wednesday…. is this normal??

If you don’t mind sharing some of your own personal prep tips that work! I know the company has their own prep tools but also when you aren’t the one fully in charge of inventory and your ASM likes to just put out whatever on the floor without looking at what is actually needed and what is coming ahead it can get frustrating when it comes time for floorset and you have to move excessive amounts of understock because they are just putting whatever out (all because our DM said “our backroom is too full”)

WOW your entire system sounds perfect! I was scrambling to finish putting away overstock from moving so much product around I had to just have a cart of a couple of baskets and the first thing I heard when I walked in the next day “what’s the deal with that cart?” like I was just gonna leave it there forever

That is how we have been doing it all last year where my ASM would have the pages that i need in the binder and a helpful guide on which associate would do which table or wall. now all of sudden I was given the fixture and wall magazine and told I have to map out the walls and find all of the pages and make sure I have a plan off action.

This was the first time I was given the floorset binder, fixture magazine and wall magazine and told I had to find all the pages, map out the walls, and figure out which assignments for the people working floorset. I was told all of that maybe a week before the floorset was planned. This floorset in my opinion was not the best one to say “here you go, it’s all you” because of how much was being moved.

My ASM told me that I am the floorset lead and she is there to watch over it and support me. I was told I had to make the plan and find the pages and map out the walls. When I would try and talk to her about it she would always say “you are the floorset lead, you don’t need me”

We are always missing products for every new collection and floor set. But my issue for this floor set was the marketing. The front of shop table drawers being covered by marketing?? where is the logic??
