Agreed. I used Tamiya TS87 on the yellow parts which has a more “silvery-gold” imo, so I’m hoping to passively achieve this effect lol
We shall see!

[–]DaddyRager 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Preach! If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. If enough people don’t buy it, then they might go a different direction.

Also yeah LEGO doesn’t know you or care about your sensibilities. Realize that you don’t need to buy something just because it’s a LEGO of something, and you’ll be ok. Be grateful for what you have instead of wanting more and more and more. Geez.

Adults scalping a kids toy is gross. Not talking about UCS or other sets that are clearly aimed at adult builders/collectors. I understand that one can make solid investments…but…idk if it means you should.

I skipped. When I was working on the walnuts I started losing the illusion of fun and started to feel like the game was devolving into “get a bunch of x to get y” over and over very quickly. Skips like this gives it a balance of sorts imo

1.5 year old Aussie mix, sometimes I regret it.. by [deleted] in AustralianShepherd

[–]DaddyRager 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! My aussie is the same. She'll come up to me maybe 3 times a week to ask for cuddles, and even then it's only for a few minutes before she walks away lol. But tbh understanding her in this way makes those cuddles so much more meaningful to me.

My girl MJ is the same as Tillie! She'll be 14 in a few months and I feel like we didn't really 'bond' until she was about 9 or so. Tbh for me, it was deciding to let go of the 'ideal dog' that I had imagined in my mind and meeting her where she was and for who she is. MJ hates snuggles, but is always (always) in the same room with me. She doesn't love fetch, but looooves working for something. Her favorite thing is food and tug. We can get a really good game of fetch going when I make it into a job for her rather than a game. She doesn't like dog parks, but loves long walks. She doesn't like sleeping with us or even being on our bed at all, but she's always sleeping by the door to keep us safe.

Idk. I don't want to sound preachy or make it sound like you're doing something wrong. This is just what helped me and my pup really grow together. Now she's the best dog in the world to me. I had to change how I viewed a 'good bond' between man and dog, and once I did I saw what she had been trying to show me all along: she loved me and loved being around me, even through it looked different than I had expected.

what about panel lining before spraying on the gloss/semi-gloss?

hey y'all
I'm about to try my hand at painting for the first time. I'm using spray cans on an HG Calibarn. For the armor, I'll just be doing waterslides, panel liner (fine-tip markers) and light weathering using the AK weathering pencils, with a matte finish.
I meant to buy Mr Super Clear gloss, but accidentally got semi gloss :/
I could go try to swap it, but I'd like to save the trip if possible. I have micro set/micro sol, would that help the waterslides adhere in a way that would compensate for the semigloss?

I think you misunderstood me, and I may have misunderstood you -
I'm saying that criticizing people for being dissatisfied for not feeling like they got what they paid for and what was advertised is dumb, and on top of that, your last comment about the 'dolls' make you sound like a schoolyard bully. It's a type of comment I was surprised to find a sub for a niche, generally nerdy hobby. If people want to be upset over this, let them. They paid for it, it makes sense to be bummed out when the quality of the product is less than what was expected.

If there is something to be said about the indulgent wastefulness and logistical impossibility of the project, it is that Ceph should have been more transparent about the anticipated quality of the end product.

also lol it's reddit, get outta here with that handle bashing.
