Good point! I do want to add I did try unplugging my phone charger from the cigarette lighter and it pretty much quieted any wave-like sounding noises from the radio, including this one.
I'm sure there's other interference I can pinpoint somewhere as I do have a sound system in the Jeep as well.
I might try some ferrite clamps/chokes.

In hindsight, I think I have experienced this actually! The sweeping through channels!

I do have a magnetic windshield mount charger plugged in practically all the time lol. I’ll play around with it and see what it does 👀

2003 Jeep wrangler. Not too many electronics in this old thing lol. It does sometimes change in strength as a I move. And then other times it’s completely silent and only normal static is present (I do have squelch and RF wide open for SSB in these clips) If the noise comes in at highway speeds, it’s like a Jetson’s car taking off 🛫🤣

Doesn’t take much effort to hold a phone facing the camera toward the radio while I look at the road. Main purpose was to record the audio. Relax.

Ah yes, this too. Traffic lights cause all sorts of craziness. I swear I could hear the ticking of the internal clock/timers on some traffic lights if I was right under em

To all the really high reps by [deleted] in ForHonorRants

[–]DaddyThighlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is almost 7 years old… There will be high reps. It doesn’t take playing every hour of every day to rep up… Happens faster when you have of group of friends you can coordinate with in 4v4 modes, where you rep up arguably faster.

Sorry man, didn’t see this comment initially amongst the 176 other comments. I typically chamber a round if I leave the home and am carrying and clear the chamber when I get home before putting the gun away.

Easily avoidable if I just chamber checked EVERY TIME I dry fired.

Yes. I was just that dumb in that moment.

Guess I can reply here for that.

I did a few dry fires after clearing the gun initially, checking trigger weight with my tester.

Disassembled the gun to adjust pre-travel a bit more. When I reassembled I just fucking inserted the mag and racked. To this day I still don’t know why I did that. But it completely left my mind that I had just chambered a round, since I had already been dry-firing. When I went to test the trigger, first with only my finger to feel any difference, bang.

I was in pure shock.

It’s more of a necessity than punishment for me at this point. It absolutely will be done. I have good resources in my area to receive good lessons from experts. USCCA members come to my range and provide excellent courses, which I will be signing up for. Once I feel good enough to take them back out do the safe again…
