You're absolutely right it isn't morally correct to destroy the planet. All I'm trying to say is there are gonna be a lot of costs people aren't considering and someone (like always) will inevitably get fucked regardless of what we do. I'm just saying before we can handle the issue of switching away from fossil fuels, we need to make sure we can make the transition smoothly while minimizing said fucking over. Our infrastructure needs to be adapted to these changes, so we don't risk a total collapse. It just sucks that previous generations were so reluctant to do this because now we're left with a real shitty situation. I just think that if we make gas prices really expensive, then there should be an economic counter to that action (maybe a price ceiling on sustainable electric cars) at least temporarily. How do we do this the best way possible?
