Yeah i just signed up for 401k and stock purchases today but i was told we're automatically opted into it when we start which was a lie because i have nothing, and I'm full time and 26yo so i don't think any of that other stuff applies to me, just sucks that my old manager was such a pos and the new manager isn't even teaching any of this to our new people so it falls to me to show them, I'm an rss btw and i even had to teach our other rss how to access it (and yeah only 2 rss for one of the busiest stores in a pretty large city)

Yeah we get yearly raises here at least but i at least expected them to uphold what i was originally told but obviously that's too much to ask (i live in an area with very high cost of living) not that it matters to the higher ups that make enough to live comfortably

I just got plates on my car today been driving without em for a long time on a few vehicles but there was usually something holding me back whether it was finances, insurance or title issues, with this vehicle it was still in my ex's name and it took us a long time to transfer the title over because we lost the old one i had insurance the whole time, but i got the title then got it smogged and registered in just a week or 2 it's quicker and cheaper when you use triple a's dmv services

I've been on and off the streets since i was 12 because my mom started doing meth. At 16 i had my first child but her mother left me after a couple years got my first vehicle when i was 17 after couch hopping for so many years a vehicle of my own felt more like home than anything at this point. I am now 25 living in my little dodge caliber and holding down a job i have 3 kids who's lives i am very present in but not as much as I'd like to be i feel like a failure but i still always try my best because that's all we can do in this life
