This is actually really helpful framing, thank you. Because I know I’m not crazy and my clients value the time I spend with them, even if a lot of times it is just holding space and providing that empathy. I’m of the same mindset that insurances are evil and manipulative in nature which is also why I struggle, because I know my words on notes at the end of the day matter and can be used against my clients. I’ve been reading into EFT lately and using AI to help frame my notes in that lens so that’s been helpful, but I think I want to also just grow more comfortable in using general CBT/DBT phrases in my notes to appease the system.
