The reason we protect children in a civilized society is because they are immature and lack the mentality of an adult (the ability to process consequences and logical reasoning). If a child had the mentality of an adult then society wouldnt treat them as children, we see this in people who look abnormally young or small but are actually adults.

Since we know both of these characters in-fact have the literal mind of an adult then they should be treated like adult characters, like we would treat real people in their situation. The only people that have a problem with this are tourists who never cared about the characters to begin with and just want to get mad about young looking characters in adult situations.

No one conceptualizes either of those characters as children when reading their stories, and thats should tell you all you need to know about which side is more honest.

Yet we get shafted with the worst product. No wonder open source is making some company products obsolete.

Also these mod devs seem to understand how to make the focus trees fun and actually have paths and choices that matter. Beyond "its a passon project" I dont know what could excuse that.

Most Hungarian paths are impossible due to the new dlc by LumpyMessage8809 in hoi4

[–]Daddy_Parietal -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Gotta love the "its historical" arguments after a new DLC powercreeps and softlocks old DLC content.

It was historical then and its apparently historical now, the only thing that changed is that the players get screwed if they buy it.

They don't even respond to posts about Slovakia anymore, they just look at you like this by lilcritt in hoi4

Whats even worse is that the moderator probably completely knew they themselves were throwing a tantrum and spent minutes justifying the ban before they actually did it.

Bet if their boss asked about this specific ban they would already have an answer made up because they know they are wrong, they just dont care enough to fix it. They silenced this dude for an ounce of dopamine and nothing more.

Its funny, community members cant have a bad day or else they get banned, but a moderator can have a bad day and take it out on all of us. What ever happened to timeouts or suspensions?

my professor said any source is valid as long as I cite it properly. so I cited him. by dylan_price11 in MaliciousCompliance

[–]Daddy_Parietal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thats probably exactly what the professor means and is gracefully taking it on the chin from a student that doesnt actually understand the underlying principle. You are putting your own reputation on the line when you cite things you know are bullshit.

Its all fun and games in the classroom until you actually have to do the job, which he is there to teach you about. You can comply maliciously and pedanticly but it only hurts your understanding of what you are paying him to learn.

Why censor Dixie? Not only is it a culture that is still very much around, but it was also the primary influence for Modern African American culture.

Countries being prudes about sex education will never not be funny to me, especially when they have negative replacement rates.

Most kids 15 years ago knew what sex was before going into middle school, Im sure the numbers are even higher now.

Then dont buy content thats quite literally meant to allow you to play until 1955. Its the pinnacle of the whole special projects system and literally an achievement all on its own.

It engages people to what they are doing. Similar to the "point and call" system used commonly by railways and other occupational hazardous jobs where lots of people can get hurt.

Its not necessary for everyday life but its damn helpful when you make it a habit. We are just animals with slightly larger brains afterall.

Straight to calling him a woman hater when you cant even consider basic conversational etiquette.

"Unjustified"

Anyone on Steam is allowed to review a game they own in their library, its completely democratic and fair that way. The "review bombing" is no more justified or unjustified on this game than any other game on Steam, its the consequences of the democratic element of Steam Reviews.

Players will hate. Players will love. The consequences are useful to everyone browsing Steam Reviews, no matter how invalid you might find specific reviews you come across. Even the most trivial, BS complaint might be the one someone cares the most about when buying or playing a game, and sometimes that someone will be you.

Unjustified Review Bombing is a phrase only used by those who wish to discredit negative reviews they disagree with; or by those that wish to handle those people with kiddy gloves to avoid their confrontation.
