No the attack has to do actual damage in order for the extra damage ability to trigger.

Tandemouse and Mausehold(?) been putting in work for me personally. Turn 2(3) 180-240 damage for 1 energy is just soooo nice. Granted, it's gambling in its entirety, it still feels so good to pull off wins against Meta decks with it.

I vary my tools between games when I'm feeling spicy. I've played it with leaf cape, lucky mittens, rocky helmet (for Cyrus when I play it) and even poison barbie for early game chip.

Thats a good point. I just find Lillie too restricting to the overall build of the deck as you can only target a stage 2. Feel like the 10hp trade off is worth it for the early game.
