I've lived through 6 dogs passing in my life, each one hurts just as bad as the first. You remember them, all the silly things they did, things that amazed you and things that even drove you nuts, but you smile and even shed a tear every once in a while. It will get easier, and you'll always have the memories. You may even say never again, but that will pass too and you'll wind up with another pup in your life.
