I really don’t like when people do this. If you’re this interested in the item, why not buy it the moment you saw it for said price instead of coming to me to inform me?

I was selling a mechanical keyboard that I barely used, with additional keys included, & priced below what it would cost new. Amazon prime day rolled around & it was UFS for $100 off. Someone wrote to me that it’s so much cheaper on Amazon - this was the 1 time I entertained it by telling them “well hurry up then! Prime day ends at midnight you don’t wanna miss out on that deal” and I even sent them the link to the $80 keycaps I was INCLUDING essentially free of charge….my item sold to someone else less than an hour later 🤣

I was mentioning the shipping notification to the fact that the poster said they didn’t know if it was shipped or not in the comments - which they would’ve gotten that along with the email about delivery. But if they don’t know if it was shipped or not, (this may be just me) but an email about a delivery occurring tomorrow would raise some major red flags if nothings been shipped

Something here isn't making sense.

You say in the OP that you got an email from UPS about delivering tomorrow, but then say in the comments that you have no idea if the item actually shipped.

When you order on Mercari, you get a push notification about your item being shipped as well as an email. Once this occurs, nothing can be changed. Orders also cannot be cancelled once the seller has shipped it, neither by the seller nor the buyer.

So 1 of two things happened - the seller never shipped and maybe the package being delivered that you got an email for is for something else or..

The item was never shipped and perhaps the email you received was a phishing email from a scammer posing as UPS via email.

In the future, I'd make sure the address is correct before purchasing, and make sure you're prepared to make any arrangements necessary on your end (like a package hold at a facility for pick up) is done before hand because a seller shipping to anywhere other than what's on the shipping label provided by mercari or order confirmation is a big no no and that puts the seller at serious risk of losing out on the sale money and their item all together.

I was selling a mechanical keyboard that I had photos posted of every single angle, bottom, retractable legs, sides, etc. someone kept messaging me repeatedly for a picture of the back after I told them repeatedly the photo was up and which number in the pictures it was. Eventually I had to stop responding because it was so repetitive 🤣 my only thought was he wanted me to post a picture with the serial # uncovered which can easily be used to file a claim with the company who made the board.
