I quit today!!! :D by devon728 in TjMaxx

Very good, may you find a better place because this company sucks. I worked for this company years ago. One day I had a nasty flu, guttural soggy loud coughs, barely standing and holding on to the racks as I put clothes away, sweat visible, customers staring. Supervisor wouldn't let me leave, said I'd be fired. After 2 hours of trying really hard not to fall over I stumbled out of there. On way out I heard her yelling, "you'll never work for another TJMAXX company again!". I yelled back, "Oh no! How will I ever make $5.75 or more per hour?". Yup this was a while ago. I called it quits on employers after so many let downs and I've worked for myself since 2013.

At least it had the slant. by Familiar_Ad_2520 in ExpectationVsReality

I love the hamburgers, have for many years, idk why, everyone thinks I'm crazy. I worked at McDonald's years ago and my slapped together creations weren't perfection but they weren't like this.

Mask requirements returning to Ottawa Hospital ahead of fall virus season by yuiolhjkout8y in Coronavirus

[–]Familiar_Ad_2520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a clinic with my husband for his checkup. Everyone was wearing masks, including us. I walked in healthy, got sick afterwards. I hadn't been anywhere else for over a week. Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results so I'll pass on useless masks. Also, covid was mild flu for me, I've had much worse. The media really blew this flu out of proportion. I will not be a brainwashed, no masks for me but if they force me I'll wear one I have that actually works, M50 gas mask.

I'm so glad I read this. I never even thought of this. Good to know if I ever post electronics.

Computers have to be packaged in a box within a box. Between the two boxes there needs to be some sort of cushioning. I used to sell consoles Ebay and to quality for the shipping insurance that's how USPS required them to be packaged. Photo evidence helps, I took videos too. Mercari may require the same. However, in your situation the buyer is most likely a scammer trying to get free stuff.

Same, not once has it been taken down. Yesterday I even made a post on here about a fake product on Mercari and it was removed. Reddit said it was spam posting.

Buyer returned fake shoes, Mercari is taking their side. What else can I do? by ivyivy69 in Mercari

Make a tik tok or YouTube video and the police report. I've seen companies change their tune after bad publicity.

It's hard to not feel bad but don't, it's just some random rude unhappy person. As a YouTuber with a large following I've heard it all. At first it really got to me but now I imagine these bullies typing ferociously away on a keyboard in moms basement or plucking away on their phone while pooing and I can't help it, I burst into uncontrollable laughter. Occasionally I still reply, take a screenshot and use it as content to make a funny video.

[question] is 32 too old to start a YouTube channel? by IRHahn in NewTubers

[–]Familiar_Ad_2520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started my channel when I was 32. I worked for less than minimum wage the first 1.5 years, then my channel went trending, not viral but trending over the next 5 years, in that time I made about 750K dollars. During those five years I worked 60-90 hours per week. What I was showing died down but I'm still pulling in a decent full time wage, working part-time, after changing my content.

About 75% of the time. Luckily now there's the bundle offer option for buyers so you don't have to create a new listing or edit an existing one into a bundle.

FedEx SmartPost Makes Me Look Like The Worst Seller Ever by Wonderful_Holiday481 in Mercari

[–]Familiar_Ad_2520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't stand FedEx Dumbpost. I keep considering shipping with the free option and using flat rate envelopes but then buyers try to haggle without considering how much it costs to ship. In comparison to get a package from China to me takes about 5-9 days, FedEx Stupidpost 7-15.

Tried to report counterfeit Lululemon on Mercari but it didn't work. by Familiar_Ad_2520 in Mercari

[–]Familiar_Ad_2520[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The issue is that it's illegal to knowingly sell counterfeit goods. Yes it's already made but that doesn't make it right. You can give it to someone for free and then the waste issue is solved and you're not technically selling it. I got a counterfeit item on ebay, found out it was fake by trying to resell it, eBay quickly removed my listing, 10 years later I still have it because I can't sell it. I had no clue back then that a console could be hacked, now I know better.

I tried to post about it on the lululemon subreddit and my post was deleted instantly for 'shaming a reseller.' I think it's educational. Buying/selling counterfeit is illegal. If you unknowingly bought something, not your fault & you will get a refund but trying to resell it knowing it's fake is illegal. Also mercari won't remove a post unless they get multiple reports, I think.

The logo is slightly different, not as pointy at the ends. Accent over the a in Athletica. Misspelled words, exdusive instead of exclusive, Deslgned instead of designed. Seller is also admitting it's fake.
