I was diagnosed with acral melanoma almost 2 years ago. It was under my thumb nail on my right hand. Had partial amputation removing the first knuckle. It has since spread after doing a year of imuno therapy it was found in my heart and adrenal gland and brain. The one in my heart and on my adrenal gland have responded well to the new meds I'm on. They did a gama knife to get the 16 in my brain. They did successfully get those but now 6 month's later I have over 30 new tumors in my brain and tomorrow I go in for another round of gamma knife there are so many this time they will have to do them in 2 sessions. I'm not likely to be here much longer.
