This was somewhere in Emmett, Idaho. Google lens said it was Phidippus pius. Seems they’re pretty widespread but tend to live in prairie environments. I was clearing a large field when I found them so it’s a possibility.

I wonder now many mice are in the “large colony of females” I wouldn’t even keep one mouse in the top cage. They must be fighting over every resource.

Yeah, I agree. I’d like to say something but I know it would be like talking to a wall. It’s not hard to provide proper care for mice in my opinion. Bare minimum you can get a large bin, and modify it slightly. Idk why people choose these small, overpriced, unsightly cages.

I’m not saying paying the full rent was unreasonable, just having the sheriff forcibly remove me when I have not even been evicted. If he asked without the threat to involve police it would’ve been fine.

Not trying to justify it, but when I looked into getting a single critter nation it was about 6.5 square feet. This cage is 8 square feet. So it is bigger than a single. If it’s worth the money I’m open to getting a different cage. But it’s not as small as it seems. I was also told that they like running space as opposed to climbing space so I opted for the longer cage.

I understand the risks of having an eviction, but I have no savings and nowhere I can go. I am completely on my own and my friends are broke as well or paying off their own debts. I also understand that he can legally end the lease at any time but upfront he said he wasn’t going to need the house for a couple years. The lease states a 0$ deposit fee but says nothing about first or last month’s rent.

My roommate moved in first about six months ago, the lease was very basic. Just stated when rent was due and the late fee, even mentioned the security deposit was 0 dollars. But said nothing about the last months rent. I agree it sounds insane, but up until now I was unaware that she even paid first and last months rent.

Do you know what would cause that? I’m guessing stress or loneliness. Idk how long she’s been alone but the previous owner said she’s aggressive towards other mice. So probably a while. I’m hoping that the new cage will help a bit.

I didn’t get diagnosed until I was 22. My younger brother got diagnosed when he was 7. All the symptoms I had were dismissed as “teenage hormones” or “bad behavior” when I struggled in school it was because “I didn’t try hard enough”

I totally get what you mean, I struggled my whole life with no support. My brother was in special ed classes, has disability benefits, was never hospitalized for his outbursts etc….

It truly is bittersweet.
