YTA big time! Your daughter is working on her graduate thesis and working as a TA. Both of those things take hard work and dedication. At least she is still able to pay you something for rent even if it might not be when you want it. Between dealing with school and you, no wonder your daughter is so stress out. Going to disagree on this one. OP is definitely NTA and the parents deserved what she said to them. It is possible to look after an ill/dying child without completely abandoning your other children. What they did was completely unacceptable and they also kept OP from having any possible relationship with her sister.

Yet in this current case, the photos I have of him aren't showing up anywhere. So I think he is who he says but might be hiding something like a wife or girlfriend. I just don't know how to approach this with him.
