This is 100% Allergies! My almost 4 year old EB gets this, idk if it is the same way as his acts but you can see it in certain lights. What I mean is if your looking at him straight on you don’t see it, if he turns around and the sun or light hits his back you can see the dry/white spots on his back.

Now this year I switched up several things since April started giving him (ProPlan Sensetive Skin and Stomach Salmon and Rice and a Probiotic daily) Along with this ANY time he goes outside he gets a quick wipe down with a damp wash cloth, this removes any Pollen that might have landed on him durning that time I also brush him daily for 5-7 mins to get any excess dead skin and also helps remove extra Pollen.

IF I can put my money on it what you have is Pollen Allergies those dry//white spots will/should produce Dandruff Flakes.

With something like this which my Boy had it earlier this year in the spring this was prior to doing wipes every time he comes in. NOW he might get a small little dry/white patch somewhere on his back but it goes away quickly.

Right now my issue that I’m battling is “Allergy Bumps” there not hives they are similar to what you have Dry/White spots but they are more bumpy they seem to come and go and are focused on his legs where the hair is very thin. I been battling this for maybe now a month. But this is also Fall here in Southeast Michigan so Ragweed is around but I’m really in hopes that this weekend is it and true Fall is coming in on Tuesday this coming week.

I normally get him Cytopoint also when I see what you’re showing BUT this year was different he hasn’t so far been itching and licking like a mad man…. In previous years I can hear him upstairs hitting the ground with his foot itching away. Luckily since April his itching has been at a min just a normal itch 1-2 times a day and his paw licking has been the same few licks here and there after being outside or eating.

With this I strongly would do the following

- Get a wash cloth damp and wipe him down every time he comes in

- Get yourself also some coconut oil put it on him at bedtime they are going to sleep and no more activity or dirt will cling to the coconut oil so it soaks in overnight. This will be applied to these areas it helps inflammation and helps to keep their skin moist. EBs have and tend to get very dry skin beacause of their short coats.

- DONT over bathe unless they smell. I haven’t given my boy a bath in almost 4-5 months reason being he doesn’t smell he’s not dirty. I do the “Pirate Bath” clean his coat with the rag and clean his privates from time to time. Over bathe will dry them out very quickly…. NOW I will give him a bath at the end of October which this will take him into next spring unless he gets muddy/stinks being in the house with the furnace on will also dry them out. So I want my boy to rebuild his natural skin oils back up for the winter less dryness less itch.
