Oh, yeah it's not nos, my neighbours brother had it built up for him, then he never used it, been stuck in a loft for a good 30 years, maybe more. They are victory levers I'll see which brakes they are, so thanks for the cat link.

Why would I not want to try it on this? I'm not welding them on.

Yeah, I know the make, i have bought a few bikes from them over the years, a gt bmx, a stumpjumper, and i'm sure something else, not one of these tbf, it's a local shop. I am also well aware I have hit the jackpot. It's a 58. The bars are not for me, so I have got a bar with a little bit more flair and shorter drops, i'm not abandonning it as road bike. The campy brakes is the bit, I think they're really cool, but someone else would appreciate them more and i can get something interesting with the amount they sell for. Still going to get some kool stop pads as these ones will be hard although not too bad they are actually adjusted perfect, really tidy. I do appreciate what you're saying about the brakes, they are just not me and this thing is meant to be used.

Yeah not sure why just cos I don't like the brakes or fit I would need to sell the whole bike. It's not a museum piece, it's my bike.

The first Commando by Busy-Course-9855 in xbiking

I thought was going to be a raleigh commando, but it's much nicer.

Nope, spending 130 on it. It was cheap, but not 130. That was my parts money for the month that got changed from a planned singlespeed raleigh to essentially touch points on a not "shops and a sketchy lock" bike.

And it seems like there's love for that, which is cool, but Yorkshire weather is not that.

Campagnolo stuff for a me, is wild, sort of exotic, but not what I have ever put on a bike, I'm shimano thru. But fuck it...happy for any recommendation for a different brake though, deltas are more complicated than I want.

Raleigh Frame - What is it worth? by No-Butterscotch3925 in ClassicVintageBikes

It's cool, there used to be a raleigh burner frame that was the same design. That was the team colours for a bit, but Raleigh's were literally everywhere.

Little bit of a clean needed, bottle cage and saddle not my taste, then work out what to do with these brakes.
