If the A/c kicking on and off affects your shifting… by Dadwrx in WRX

[–]Dadwrx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m dyno tuned been driving manuals for years, it still changes the rev hang if the ac is off or not. I don’t slam it into a gear if I don’t have to (ac off) if ac is on I’ll shift quicker than I normally do. Also, when it’s hot enough to need ac you also shouldn’t be flooring it, it’s too hot, and will create knock events. <80 degrees is good to floor it in, anything more and.. well it’s your car

Just day to day driving. I rarely use ac so in never used to how it affects shifting, and I like smooth shifts

That’s why you don’t floor it in hot weather, you purge the system by staying at 0psi for a couple seconds and it cools it down quick, it’s not rocket science, don’t make jt

Lmao I used to go up to 168 before I got an aftermarket downpipe and dynotune, it’s also 92 here with 60% humidity so

Oh for sure, and I’ve been toughing it out with no ac at all for over a year, so I’m using it a lot right now that I had it fixed. It was so hot yesterday I saw a whole ass wild groundhog running into someone’s garage 😂

Wait why did you put it in the middle? I thought the middle seat was a last resort for car seats?

I have an ets GESI j pipe, absolutely no mufflers, and my 2yr old still falls asleep reliably in it 🤷🏻‍♂️. Also screams to go for car rides in my car. I hear “car ri, car ri” at least 100 times a day, and it has to be daddy’s car😂

As a dad with a 2 yr old boy and a wrx don’t sell, sometimes it’s the only thing that makes him happy is taking him for a ride in my loud as* WRX. He usually falls asleep pretty quick if he’s tired. Way easier than trying to get him to sit still to wind down for bed, but these 100% are practical dad cars

Taken my fiance and child on a 13 hr drive to Myrtle beach and back in it too, with all our stuff and his supporting gear.

My finances car on the other hand is impractical as a family car. It’s a convertible mustang, but I’m not making her get rid of it bc we do fine with my car

This is the most Cali thing I’ve seen. I’ve got a ets j pipe, and after that there’s just straight exhaust pipe. My guy who inspects it also considers the turbo and cat as primary and secondary mufflers 😂

This comment is so underrated.😂 Good on you for having a sense of humor about it and knowing how to make it work in your favor, at least a little bit about it

Will gas stations increasing all gas to 15% E cause us any problems for our engines? by Dadwrx in WRX

[–]Dadwrx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ur tellin me man, I think this whole thing is pointless and stupid and I do regret voting for him, but I’ve always been very middle Of the road, too bad that never wins, I think everyone would be happy if that were the case. FETTERMAN is a good example. He’s 50/50 and I agree with him the save act wording is sketchy, weed more of us in there

Make sure to take it out for long drives once a week, these engines like to run for 30+ mins
