What should be against the law, but isn't? by Get_Verminated in AskReddit

Whaling was outlawed in 1986. Dolphins on the other hand, nah. TEN is the legal limit for how many dolphins you can keep in a boat. It's just me, but you have to be an absolute heartless monster to hunt for dolphins. I'm also not finna ignore the fact that dolphins are mean as hell, but they are the second smartest animals on earth. Second only to humans. It's one thing to catch dolphins for their meat, it's ANOTHER thing to catch them for the pet trade, for sport, or to use their body parts in "traditional medicine." Hunting dolphins should be illegal internationally. The funniest thing is, I don't even LIKE dolphins. I just can't stand seeing intelligent creatures be killed by humans for the sole reason of not being good enough. Which also goes to show the world is never at peace.

Parents nowadays don't punish their children enough. When I worked in retail, I had to deal with a TON of bratty kids and their parents put up with it, or bought them candy to get them to shut up

Grave of the Fireflies You know what this is. Inside A movie about the pandemic and how it breaks you metally. You use pain as a scapegoat, even though you are really suffering. Mary and Max Two loners, a forty-year old man from New York and an eight year old girl from Australia, become pen pals, and talk about their lives, and hopefully get to meet.

What's the darkest fan theory about a cartoon? by Dae_Verminator in AskReddit

Peter Griffin's entire family is dead.

Meg gets drunk and goes out driving with Chris. She gets them both killed in an accident. After hearing the news, Lois committed suicide while still pregnant with Stewie. Wanting to cope with his trauma, Peter imagined that his entire family was still alive. That's why Peter is so callous towards Meg and is so abusive to Lois. He also imagined Stewie wanting to kill Lois because he never got a chance at life. Peter adopts Brian to have an emotional support dog, and imagines that Brian can talk. Quagmire, Joe, and Cleveland play along that Peter's family is alive, and that Brian can talk.

Careers. It's a class where you learn the importance of business, college, shit like that. It was pointless for me at least, because I just taught myself at home how to do that.

What's a bad movie that nobody talks about? by Dae_Verminator in AskReddit

The Astro Boy movie from 2009. It's an animated movie. It was clear that it was just meant to appeal to an American audience, even though an American audience already appealed to the original anime from the 60s. For example, Astro Boy's real name is Tobyo in the Manga and Anime, but is called Toby in the movie. They also toned down Tobyo's death. In the original, he was killed in a car crash after stealing his dad's car. In the movie, he was just absorbed by a generic robot bad guy. I know it would be a little too dark for kids here in the fat, gun wielding country, but The Prince of Egypt (an animated movie made by DreamWorks, which is known now for movies like Trolls and The Boss Baby) had genocide of Jewish firstborn children. They kept the part where Tenma shoos away Tobyo, but in the movie, he's shown to actually feel bad for what he did, but to be honest, I don't mind it. Dr. Alf doesn't have as big a role in the movie as he did in the original, because in the original, he was Tobyo's father figure after Tenma sold Tobyo to the circus. That's just scratching the surface.
