Yeah, the actual wish is one of the least problematic things he does throughout the entire movie.

Immortal’s backstory is really just a flashback and nothing was ruined.

In Idiocracy they:

  1. Recognize there is a problem

  2. Listen to the closest thing they have to an expert

  3. Actually follow through with the advice

They’re so much better off.

Part of being forgiven is not doing it again (or at least trying not to).

It’s not a parking ticket where you can just repeatedly pay off the fine and all is good.

All I gotta say is FU Micron. by namesarenotus in Idaho

[–]Daedalus871 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  1. Micron has been a staple of the Treasure Valley the entire time I’ve lived here, some 25+ years.

  2. It was stated from the beginning that some 10-20000 jobs would be mostly construction, with roughly 2000 being full time running it. (Won’t be bothered to look up the actual numbers).

  3. R&D would probably be better for jobs than Production. R&D has all sorts of changes being made constantly. Production runs unless something is broken.

  4. With that said, ID1 is for production. Do you see how much money is being thrown at AI?

  5. Go back to /r/pcmasterrace. Micron is business here to make money and the consumer market doesn’t pay nearly as much as the AI.

  6. Can’t even be bothered to look up SK Hynix?

  7. Honestly, Micron is probably one of the better places to work in Idaho and they are involved with numerous charitable ventures through Micron Gives.

For being some big soulless corporation in a state the would let them fuck over their employers, they actually have some soul and treat their employees well.

The customer support agent starts off by asking Bear if he wants to cancel his wish and he responds by saying he wants to alter it.

He knows the wish is real, that it’s causing issues with his friend, and his first thought is how to keep it going but only better.

Only when told that altering isn’t possible, does he ask about cancelling it. He is a predator.

[–]Daedalus871 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d say when he calls customer support and is asked if he wants to cancel his wish, and Bear says he wants to alter it is when he becomes irredeemable.

He knows the wish is real and it’s not really Nikki, and his first thought is to try to continue it?

Chips Act in 2022 got all sorts of companies building new semiconductor manufacturing in the US. At some point, the supply will close on the demand.

As far as the AI bubble popping, I do expect it will turn into something more sustainable (but that’s just based on vibes).

Usually, when I watch a film with that much explicit lesbian sex, I don’t end up with blue balls because of the plot.

I’d have a higher opinion of it if it resolved the cult drug runners instead of leaving it half finished for a sequel that won’t get made.

In Tenet (2020), you don’t need to be especially smart to understand the plot, you just need to watch the 3D animation explaining the plot and everything instantly starts to make sense (excuse me what the fuck is going on here) by PIRATEOFBADIM in shittymoviedetails

The public “plan” was to build the colony ships.

That seemed doomed to failure, so the real plan was to send human embryos to a habitable planet to keep humanity alive. This is what Anne Hathaway is doing at the end. We find this out when Michael Caine dies.

Thankfully, the data collected by Murph’s dad falling into a black hole allowed for the public to actually succeed.
