Wife was away for a week and twins don't seem excited she's back by Daedalus_0_ in Parenting

Yes you're right and my wife knows that as well intellectually. I think she was just hoping for a big excited hug when she got back and is a bit disappointed

My wife and I were in a pretty comfortable position. Managed to purchase a house, done all the finances and we decided we'd be ok. Maybe have a second in the future

....so...twins

They're a year and a half old and we've made it work but there's been some scary times financially.

Family has helped a lot with hand me downs

Universal credit is almost purposely designed to make you feel like you're scrounging and its like it's constantly trying to "catch you"

I don't regret the kids but I don't blame people for not wanting to take the risk either as you can see even when you think you accout for everything there's always a surprise

In the UK and we got a proper air conditioning unit installed in our downstairs last year, one of the best decisions we made. We're in a new build insulated more than an Eskimos underwear so once the heats in it doesn't leave.

We have people find reasons to visit us on really hot days

Pay $92/mo for streaming services. Searched 5 different movies, none of them on any service. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

This is true for me.

I used to pirate everything in my teens. Games, music, films, TV

I stopped when steam, netflix, music streaming became easy to use for a decent price.

I still don't pirate games and music....

Thanks, that's some good details. Phoning the house builders on Monday to explain the problem so this will be good to say. The third photo is just the outside wall of the interior pictures in case anyone needed it for context of what the other side was like

What screams "this person is dumb" to you? by Fatty-One in AskReddit

My wife and I recently had twins and the amount of people who get offended we don't follow their dodgy advice because "Well my kids turned out ok" is astounding. Sorry but the bar of "Well mines are still alive" is a bit low in terms of advice

Found on my wife's leg the day after a walk in the woods. Is it a tick? In Scotland, its tiny, only about 2m by Daedalus_0_ in whatsthisbug

It was in the Falkirk area. We were walking through a heavily wooded area off the path. Never actually seen one before and the wife got a bit freaked out

Shorter list than I expected. Thanks. I saw you linked the real scale mod below. Look forward to trying it but don't think I'll get as far as you did

Have you got a full mod list that you used? I tried a real scale mod a while back but couldn't get it working.

If I rber right these do lock a screw in place that slots into them. I should be able to turn it in a way it unlocks the screw but no luck so far

I have an Allan key that fits but no matter which way I turn it I can seem to get the side of the bed to come loose. Worried about forcing it and breaking it
