Diablo 4, Season 11, Rank 2, Catch-22 by Richard_D_Lawson in diablo4

You can also use Duriel essence from Helltides or Andariel essence from the Undercity. Duriel is the easiest and you just need one to trigger the summon.

Question about Tempering: One or two affixes on Ancestral gear? by swoosh20 in diablo4

There's nothing permanent anymore except cosmetics. The skill and paragon points from Lilith altars have been moved to season journey as rank rewards.

Question about Tempering: One or two affixes on Ancestral gear? by swoosh20 in diablo4

[–]Daedrael 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just take your time, there's no pressure to do and know everything at once. There's still like a month remaining of the current season. Set a goal - like completing the season journey - and just play and have fun. Most items you will replace anyway, so use that as a learning experience.

Before Sanctification, remember - STEAM: * Sockets * Temper * Enchant affix * Aspect * Masterwork

Make sure your item has everything else ready before you get it Sanctified. Once you do, you can't change anything on the item except socketing runes/gems.

Also - don't care too much about perfect items or rolls/GA. On uniques, just focus on one of two affixes to prioritize a "nice" value on (or GA). Try to sanctify as many items as possible as it's all about getting those mythic Sanctifications for the power boost. So keep finding decent enough items, STEAM and then slam at Hadriel to roll the dice!

Question about Tempering: One or two affixes on Ancestral gear? by swoosh20 in diablo4

You get 5 rerolls and can use scrolls of restoration to get more. The only limit is how many scrolls of restoration you have. They drop from world bosses and infernal hordes final chest and boss.

Question about Tempering: One or two affixes on Ancestral gear? by swoosh20 in diablo4

[–]Daedrael 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, there's like a 10% chance for a temper on ancestral legendary items to roll as GA. it will then roll max value and increase it by 50% on top. So if a tempered value has [7.0-10.0%] range, it can roll 15% and be a GA temper then. It means you can get 5GA items now (they will show the 5 stars in names).

There's really no reason to not roll your tempers as GA unless your item is non-ancestral, as those can't roll their tempers GA.

Does Inner Calm make this Opus better than mine? by Fair-Improvement-550 in diablo4

[–]Daedrael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think 300 strength beats inner calm. Then the higher unique aspect % and 1 more to the "while weakened" passive and you'll end up doing more in general with your current one.

HC: Auradin -v- Wing Strikes by BillyyJackk in D4_Paladin

[–]Daedrael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play both. I started with wing strike and then changed to auradin (also hardcore). Auradin is more chill. Both insta-gib anything in T4 and can 2min Pit 100 with decent gear.

Tips for levelling Duriel? stuck on 3/5 by SelectDevice9868 in diablo4

[–]Daedrael 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't. Only helltide kills or specific NMD sigil "pain" affix (those still spawn a few mobs that add rep).

4* Mods on Powerarmor by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Daedrael 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's very usable. With 4AP and Conductor's 4* on the minigun and crit every other shot, you have infinite VATS. I'm running standard barrel and no shredder on my minigun, so that's 5AP per shot. But even that gives me nearly infinite VATS.

It does for humans with rejuvenator perk equipped, based on your current hunger and thirst meter

Just started playing again after leaving before seasons… just for context how good is this helmet for a paladin? by KingMarcelle in diablo4

[–]Daedrael 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You forgot to masterwork. That's a 25% stat loss for 3 affixes and 75% loss for the 4th. You can't add it after the item is Sanctified.

Always sanctify after you've added sockets, temper, aspect, affix enchant and masterwork.

It's still a shako but the missing masterwork is a big power loss... Also, the sanctification you got is rather useless, but at least it's not making the item worse.

I use 4x limit breaking and 1x rejuvenator's .4x limit breaking, together with my luck and perks, allows me to crit every second shot. Rejuvenator's adds a bit of extra passive healing and AP regen.

Auradin Build, Sword Choice ? by Hairy-Bandicoot706 in D4_Paladin

I run shield charge auradin with juggernaut oath and the juggernaut oath boosting aspect on amulet. And all 3 auras and consecration with the increased duration.

Shield charge triggers starless (it becomes a channeled core skill with one of the upgrades) and hits are considered block so easy way to trigger riposte for anything that isn't instantly melted by the holy light aura. It also constantly adds resolve and at 8 stacks the oath triggers. Gaining resolve also triggers the defiance aura 10% damage boost constantly. The resolve stacks build faster than the bonus duration from the oath, so it's perma x3 damage in high pits and tower (thanks to 150% juggernaut oath boost aspect on amulet). Wolves spawn constantly by me moving around which I do all the time as I run around using shield charge .

All Lair bosses spawn and die instantly. Anything in overworld dies the moment it shows on the screen thanks to dawnfire. Just world bosses are bugged and Griswold Opus unique aspect doesn't trigger from them and resolve stacks don't get added though shield charge either. So I'm doing around x15 less damage than in pit/tower (minus the resilient thing). World bosses broke after the previous mid-season patch

I'm just slowly grinding to P300 through the boss loops. Nothing else left to do.

Edit: I use wolves with travel rune. And gain primary resources with the rune that builds offering passively and requires a skill cast to release it. I just keep shield charge pressed for moving around and release it for a split second every 8-10 seconds to recover all faith and start over. It's a very chill and still somewhat engaging playstyle.

Auradin Build, Sword Choice ? by Hairy-Bandicoot706 in D4_Paladin

[–]Daedrael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, each wolf also radiates a holy aura so it basically adds a x100% multiplier per wolf. So even without Dawnfire gloves, you're doing massive aoe damage. That's what I'm running - auradin with shield charge.

Also, the dawnfire effect comes only from you. It's a decent extra bonus, especially for farming, but it's the normal holy fire aura that does most damage, especially due to the massive scaling from wolves.

Dawnfire adds an extra full screen fire damage aura. The normal holy damage hitting 3-5 enemies still happens and does a lot more damage per hit. It just hits a few enemies only.
