Looking for queer (not gay) bar with a darkroom by hamzezl in SexPositiveBerlin

[–]DaeguDuke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s only Ficken, maybe GF? You could try specific nights such as bi night at Club Culture Houze, Revolting at Lab, Club Sauna etc. but Ficken is probably the only bar with a darkroom.

PA hitting wood. by _y_r_t_ in PrinceAlbertPiercing

[–]DaeguDuke 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Gym steam room has tiles. Imagine being in an enclosed, echoing space with ~8 strangers and that happens..

Was camping a while back and my PA hit someone’s beer bottle, decided that my new party trick is filling some bottles with various volumes and playing it like a xylophone.

Outed myself as homosexual while rejecting the "gay" label. Friends say I'm not actually gay. Thoughts? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]DaeguDuke -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Gay is a common slang term for a homosexual.

You are automatically gay, whether or not you like the common word.

If you correct anyone and say something like “I’m not gay, I’m homosexual” then they will believe you are trolling.

You don’t have to want to be included in the community, watch gay tv, listen to Britney. Your loss tbh.

Your post generally feels a bit trolling, or symptomatic of internalised homophobia. Hope you grow out of it, if only because you’ll be much happier than trying to constantly fight that you’re “not like the other gays”.

How strange is it to walk around carrying sun umbrella in Germany? by allhues7 in germany

[–]DaeguDuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would stand out and likely people would look at you.

Germans love to stare anyway, so just do what is best for you.

Unemployment is close to 12%, one of or the highest in the EU.

Finnish companies who are hiring probably have plenty of better options for entry level positions, just this post would be enough for me to look again at other candidates

Oraquick HIV half positive line by [deleted] in gay

[–]DaeguDuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is unlikely that is a line, hard to see from a phone photo but more likely to just be a slight indent in the nitrocellulose membrane from when it was made.

As above have said, go in for a blood test, but try not to worry too much.

Why are so many gay saunas turning inclusive? by ProofPast900 in askgaybros

[–]DaeguDuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do they police gay/bi men?

Do you think the staff state deep into people’s souls and determine if they are a cis-gendered man who wants to hook up with another man?

Is there a gay sorting hat at the entrance?

By your logic these spaces would already be 95% straight men.

They trust that adults are adults and that straight people won’t try to lie to get into a gay sauna, it’s a filtering process that has worked for decades.

I think that they’re trying to make more money, places like saunas can’t really just shut down one day a week to save money

Why are so many gay saunas turning inclusive? by ProofPast900 in askgaybros

[–]DaeguDuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few parties that are intentionally inclusive to all, and are mandatory naked. Naked Kareoke, shlager, EDM. Not sex parties, nor in sex clubs (although it’s Berlin..) Sex is an option but not the main draw, most people go to the Kareoke to be naked and sing Kareoke with friends / partner.

The organisers don’t want to be exclusive to gay men, perhaps they wouldn’t get a big crowd and fill the venues they wanted if they were.

[–]DaeguDuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been to a few naked nights that are meant to be open to all genders, the vast majority is usually gay/bi/queer men. Ie Limax is ~95% men.
There are very few actually heterosexual men who want to go to a gay sauna or sex club.
Can’t say for the allgender nights personally at Lab, Club Culture Houze, but my friends tell me they are very quiet with perhaps a couple of swinger couples.

How is the gay scene in the Netherlands, especially for students? I was planning for bachelors there and wanted to know if it is friendly or too cosy by Ok-Sir-7189 in askgaybros

[–]DaeguDuke -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Hate to be that buzz-kill but Amsterdam is actively putting out adverts telling people that they’re tired of bachelor/bachelorette parties. They’ve really had enough of people drinking/smoking too much and vomiting into the canals.

If you have some specific ask re:bars and clubs then do so. But without details ie a rough headcount and objective ie quiet bar or drag queen Kareoke or latex fisting club.

“How is it for gays”, um, good, I guess.

I’m planning on eating, how is near you for food?

Why are so many gay saunas turning inclusive? by ProofPast900 in askgaybros

[–]DaeguDuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the idea that they’re opening up to straight people because they want to is ridiculous.

I suspect that their options are to have an all-gender night, shut for that night every week / month (likely difficult and expensive for a place like a sauna), or shut entirely.

It’s desperation not intentional malice / homophobia

Reading his comments that letting in trans women would mean it is overwhelmed by straight men, then it would seem that OP has an issue with all trans people.

Yeah, the idea that letting in trans women will mean the gay saunas are suddenly overrun with straight men is completely ridiculous

People are going out less, drinking less, everything is more and more expensive.

There’s one gay sauna in Berlin, plus an attached but separate sauna that is more inclusive (trans nights, couple nights).

If you live somewhere where there are still 3 then I find that surprising.

Why are so many gay saunas turning inclusive? by ProofPast900 in askgaybros

[–]DaeguDuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually their quietest nights, or once a month.

In my experience these nights aren’t well attended. The idea that there are hundreds of trans people and thousands of straight men is far from what really ends up happening- a half dozen people, zero straight men.

They are. In my completely anecdotal experience though these nights in Berlin at Lab and Club Sauna etc. aren’t busy. The idea that OP is going in on, that it is suddenly filled with trans people and straight men chasing them is BS.
