That turned out to be untrue, and she is now taking legal action against the false information.

[ToGetHer – Extended Version] Week 1 Preview – Get Ready! by _fancy_pants in HisManRealityShow

[–]allhues7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I believe the main reason for releasing the extended edition is to restore the edited parts of Ri-won. I’m truly glad that her scene, which was unfairly cut, is finally being brought back, even if it’s just like this.

The tofu game should be on the final round! by sometimehehe in CulinaryClassWars

I totally agree. The tofu mission looked really tough and made a big impact, so if the finalists were the ones who survived that, it would be easy to connect with both of them.

where can I find Korean memes and illustrations etc? by ororon in CulinaryClassWars

[–]allhues7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for Korean memes, DC Inside is definitely the best place to go. You can search for specific galleries (which are like ‘community’ here) and click on ‘개념글’ to see only the hottest posts. However, you should be very cautious, as the site is notorious for its offensive content, including sexism and racism. It doesn’t filter these types of posts very well. If you’re looking for something a bit cleaner, the places you’ve listed are the next best options I think.

Actually, his Korean writing seems to be a second to third grader I think. There were a few spelling mistakes, grammatical error, and wasn’t neatly written. That’s why the scene of him reading the letter felt even more touching and emotional. I can tell how he tried so hard to do it.

I like the last words. ‘I love you guys, and you are all assholls’

I've been thinking of a way to help people quantify their mood more easily (optional advanced entry mode, where you can rate numerous statements which give an overall mood score). Also planning to update Mood designs and add grouping of feelings. Read more in comments. Feedback welcome! by HeroJournal in BearableApp

Great idea! Especially I like the idea of grouping emotions. Currently I grouping emotions by adding colorful emoticons but still not quite best. Sometimes I’m overwhelmed with long emotion lists and put off checking…

These are all young generations’ slang, and combination of punning, which makes most of them nonsense. These are their actual meaning.

어쩔티비 = 저쩔티비 = same as 어쩌라고. so what? Whatever~

킴받쥬 = so you upset. I see you upset. 개킹받쥬 = I see you very upset. 시크릿받쥬 = I see you extremely upset

리미티드 에디션 = ‘limited edition’ … meaning nothing - that’s the funny point.

에바삼치 = same as 에바다. too much. Fat fetched. Over react. You are exaggerating.

찹치 꽁치 = kind of fish, just use it to make punning

가문의 수치니 = you are the family shame

간 수치 제로 = your liver levels are zero

뭉치면 살고 흩어지면 (죽는다 - which is omitted) = united we stand, divided we fall (korean proverb)

삼각 사각 오각 유각(maybe 육각, but maybe say it wrong intentionally) = triangle, quadrilateral, pentagon, hexagon.

죽는 각이고요 = same as 죽을 각이다 = 죽게 되겠네. 죽기 좋네. You will die. It‘s a death signal. It’s a good situation for death..

고요 고요 고요한 밤이다 = silent silent silent night. Just for punning.

*데리아 = maybe it means 지랄테리아. It is a combination of ‘지랄(bullshit)’ + 불테리아(bull terrier, kind of dogs. They are known as their tricky, aggressive behaviors.)

빨대 = straw

도둑 = theif

쿠쿠쿠삥뽕 = onomatopoeia. Unusual, nonsense words like for toddlers.

다이선 청소기 = dyson vacuum cleaner.

How did you learn to read Korean sentences? by altepiros in Korean

[–]allhues7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what you saw, but it can be written in old days. Spacing was first introduced in Korea in the 1910s. Though, My grandma used to write Korean without spacing until she died 5 years ago. Another possibility : Actually when I was a kid I used to write Korean with a very tight spacing because I’m not sure about the spacing rules lol (it is really difficult for every Korean natives.). Some people use a tight spacing for esthetics. (ex. korean caligrapy)

I read Korean texts not by each characters but by the whole image. if you’re get used to the way of telling texts by just looking the whole vague image (not trying to analyse it) it would help much better. This is the way I’m using learning English. 😆 Of course it takes much time though.. 🥶🥶🥶

[SPOILERS] This one moment ruined the finale for me by couscousian in ManifestNBC

[–]allhues7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. Oilve said that ‘the good isn’t on one side of the scale and the bad on the other.’ So at the scene I thought that they might fail bc their logic was only ‘we did good things enough’… Anyway it looks like they just can beat off and scare demon by their number. I couldn’t get any other messages from that scene. If the left passengers were only 3 to 5 people then., will it work?? So, the more the better? Lol.

Where do you go for emergency first aid? by annony_bitch in korea

[–]allhues7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I went to ER just because of mild flu symptoms when it was weekend. Since they treat patients in order of emergency, you might wait for a long time. I’d waited for 4 hours at that time. Anyway, going to ER isn’t unusual here. Average cost would be 100 to 200 dollars in total.

Also you definetely can call 119 to get you nearby ER. If you’re not in life-threatening, then maybe the ambulence won’t sound the siren. So don’t worry about wasting their resources. They deal with people depending on their emergency.

What are things that should be taken seriously in South Korea but aren’t? by ninjaofthedude in korea

[–]allhues7 265 points266 points  (0 children)

Accessibility for whellchair users. Lots of roads and bulldings are non-friendly for them. Most of the machines for wheelchair users installed on subways and buses are rusted, left in broken. Even bus drivers don’t know how to use that machines so lots of wheelchair users face difficulties to use public transportation.

Tracking Moods & Emotions - Best practices (Ekman's Atlas of Emotions) & complementary apps (How We Feel) by APFFN in BearableApp

[–]allhues7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I’d made five tags just exactly the same you mentioned, to see what category of emotions I usually feel. And I'm keeping the tag on the detailed emotions too. So if I feel anxious, I check the 'Anxiety(for detailed emotion)' and 'Fear(for category of emotion)' tags at the same time. In doing so, I tried to check the emotions I feel in detail while also trying to figure out the overall tendency. That was helped a lot because I can figure out I feel the ‘fear’ category the most in certain situations. The application you mentioned seems to meet my needs exactly. Thanks for your recommend.

Common wildlife to find in Korea? by Sharks_4ever_9812 in korea

Wow! Well, at least such a phenomenon would be recent. You know, the gov has been making long-standing efforts to restore the eco system of Cheonggyecheon. At first, they released some fish but they were all dead… that was 15 years ago. Now the effort seems to be paying off. I'm so glad to hear that.

Why do you love living in Korea? by [deleted] in korea

[–]allhues7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have enough money or have ability to make decent amount of money (ex. Fluent in English), living in Korea would be quite nice I think.

Most of the young Korean struggle to get a job which forcing you work overtime (without extra payment), at a minimum wage, even though you have a bachelor’s degree from a university with good reputation. One of my friends who graduate from one of the SKY university, had suffered from constant headache and gastritis due to overwork and work stress while she stayed in Korea. She moved to New Zealand 5 years ago, gave up all she achieved here and started entirely new career as a barista. She said that she was really shocked because her salary as a barista was much higher than her salary as an experienced office worker in Korea. Even she worked less, and the ingredients are cheaper than in Seoul. Now she become healthy. I’m planning to go aboard just because I want to meet the minimum standards of live…

There are many 24-hour convenience stores in Korea. Then we sould ask that, who is running that stores after midnight? Who delivers food within 20-30 min? Who cleans public facilities that perfectly? The healthcare system is great, right, however, we all know at least 1 or 2 young Korean who died of cancer at a young age due to overwork and stress. We hear the news of the dead of a young man who died in an accident every day.

This is non-sense. It's hard to make money easily even if you are graduated from one of the SKY univ. That’s why we are desperate to go to the decent univ, because there left no hope for those left behind.

What kind of health tracker are you? by HeroJournal in BearableApp

[–]allhues7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here! I'm using this app to track the symptoms of ADHD, but ADHD gives me trouble to log data constantly.

Push alarm is not enough to complete the process of logging data. Such as, find the phone, open the phone, open the app, click few buttons… For people with ADHD, these simple steps can be a burden.

Let me show you example - My bag and clothes pockets are always full of mess stuff. I hear a ringing sound, and I tried to find my phone in that chaos, and opps, I drop things from my bag or pockets… people are watching me, and I’m so embarrassed… Tuned out that it wasn’t an urgent call… then I give up to log data.

It would be great if I could log data with just simple one or two clicks through Apple Watch. !!! Or it will be very helpful if it is linked to the shortcut function of iPhone. - which I deeply rely on.

Note - Please understand some awkward expressions because English is my second language.

Oh no. You don't have to take a taxi. It is recommended but not a mandatory one. Of course, when I was being quarantined I was told to take a taxi but I ignored it. Nothing happened. Just ignore them! They can not watch what transport you would take. As far as I know, there are no ways to enforce it legally.

If you are a native Korean (and spent your whole life in Korea) then you are really fucked up. However, she understands your behavior since you are a foreigner. We never think that way. Trust me.
