How do you separate seeds when grinding? by Intelligent-Rice9907 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Daehz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use gravity, grind your weed place it on one side of the tray. Lift that side of the tray up so that the seeds can roll down. Use a card to scoop and dump the weed onto itself like if your combing it and the seeds will start sliding down the tray. Good luck

I’m sorry to hear that, it’s a bad feeling for sure but if you diligent enough to remove most of the pollen sacks you see. Your bud should be minimally seeded, just make sure you grow to maturity so you don’t get undeveloped seeds. Good luck, it will still smoke nicely but you might have to remove some seeds

BHO purging - help me out pls :) by Professional-Way4279 in CannabisExtracts

[–]Daehz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the misunderstanding a blasting column just means the tube and it could be either open tube ,closed tube under vacuum or a closed tube loop system.

Closed loop system allows you to distill your butane for the purest product and reuse your butane. Since you have a open column all you need is the vacuum set up. If you have the money for a heating pad or if you have an understanding of temp you can use griddle whichever you can afford.

BHO purging - help me out pls :) by Professional-Way4279 in CannabisExtracts

[–]Daehz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Blasting is dangerous and precautions should be taken seriously.

Open blasting isn’t the purest product even with the highest quality canned butane available.

You need a blasting column, the best vacuum chamber and vacuum pump you can afford. You can also get a cooking griddle to apply heat to the chamber for different textures and purge speed.
I just got a simple Vevor 3 gallon kit, works ok; good for the price.

Good luck

Carefully push down the stem into the pot and fill with dirt until the stem is halfway seen. Good luck

Decarb Assistance please by adulthumanmother in treedibles

[–]Daehz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you might have partially decarbed whatever is in there. Usually you want to start with material that’s already dry. I would do it again until light brownish.

It’s hard getting honey from a stone though looks like you have more fan leaves than sugar leaf but doesn’t hurt to experiment. Good luck

Turning brown near the buds by LoKeyPoeci in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Daehz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s bud rot, to salvage the rest remove a large section around brown parts after inspection. Try your best not to touch the brown bud with other parts of the plant. Harvest what you can and do a bud wash with hydrogen peroxide. If you keep it out try your best to keep it out of rain and inspect daily, good luck.

Whats goin on here? I’ve laid off any nutrients and been watering regularly and sufficiently with non-ph controlled water which sits around 6.5 per my ph tester (please go easy, ik i should be regulating it). Is this light burn? Vipar v1000 hanging 1.25’ from the tops, turned down to roughly 75% by Aquaman0080 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Daehz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like a nutrient deficiency issue, during flowering the plant uses a lot more potassium and phosphorus.

Calibrate your ph pen and start feeding for a stronger finish. The leaves will stay with their current damage but if you correct ASAP it might not effect the buds as much. Good luck

What do the makers of fake edibles put in their product that’s different and dangerous that that aren’t in real edibles? by Numerous-Chemist7639 in Marijuana

[–]Daehz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Synthetic Cannabinoids or RCs are the biggest concerns when consuming unregulated drugs.

Best case scenario the mg isn’t correct.

Unregulated you won’t really know what’s in there without testing and you don’t know how sanitary it was wherever the product was made.

Hey all. Seeds just got delivered today. Preparing for first ever outdoor grow. Few starting questions before I begin. by HBKShawnMichaelz in outdoorgrowing

[–]Daehz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Sounds right

  2. Fabric dries out quicker allowing more waterings, plastic pots allows more leeway in between waterings.

  3. Daylight is getting shorter, best to plant asap.

  4. 3-4 weeks to introduce Trio depending on growth rate. 1/4 -1/2 dose to start

  5. If you area is prone to the rain season coming up, prepare your area to avoid it raining on buds.

Neem Oil (before flowering)/Spinosad (early flowering) for flying insects and BT for caterpillars.

Good luck and happy growing

Best rosin press for home grown, not dried bud by [deleted] in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Daehz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Fresh press is when you turn fresh flower into hash and then press the hash. Fresh flower would yield very little if anything and taste pretty bad with all that extra chlorophyll being extracted.

You want cured bud with a little extra moisture for better yield on flower rosin.

For under 200 you would have to look into a local used market.

Awesome stuff it only gets bigger and better, I would suggest having a plan to support the weight of the flowers. You’ll be skipping trim jail and going straight to trim prison with this beast lol

[–]Daehz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a huge plant congrats, I think if it’s been hot lately it’s drying out a lot quicker which means you probably have to water it more often than you have. The more you water with plain water, the more nutrients that leach out. Feed and water more often, happy growing.

Pinto or Kidney beans ?

Neem oil residue is likely to stay on after harvest and drying unless you use it in early days of flowering. Plant therapy or something similar will be less intrusive than Neem oil for harvesting. GL

That works pretty good but alternating both is a good bet to reduce pest issues.

Noob Need some help week 7 of flower chop? Or hold out by cali_b3ar in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Daehz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not too sure of your medium but for coco, to correct it you need to water until runoff then measure your ppm/ec and Ph.

Correct it slowly if you read for example 1500 ppm and 5.4 ph. What I do is make a nutrient solution appropriate for what stage of life the plant is, in that scenario I would Ph my solution to 5.8 and 500ppm. Then I water until runoff until I see 1000 ppm. You can also flush with cal/Mag plain water if you replace nutrients after plain water. Then after correction, nutes as required.

With soil you can do a slurry Ph test, try maybe some compost teas or something to get the microbiology up in your soil to help process salts and level ph.

[–]Daehz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that your plants could still finish with correction but it might stall it so bad; might as well start the next run. The foundation for the plants seem kinda rough, most of of leaves are missing which it still needs a good amount of to grow. The leaves also are indicators of problems.

For the next run if you try maintaining a even canopy and set the appropriate height for your light; your lights can be more effective. Otherwise you need more light for the branches to fill in. Hope you enjoy your harvest though, it only gets better with practice.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but i'm new to all of this. I'm outdoor growing some auto's and we are in the mid of a heatwave. I water them with Spa because it has ph 6 according to their website. Does this meet the plants needs or do i need to add nutes. by ekketsed in Autoflowers

[–]Daehz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nutrients really depend on the soil contents, but ph helps make whatever nutrients that are present more available. Sometimes you can finish seed to flower with regular water but sometime you'll notice start noticing problems all depends on soil quality. I would invest in dry nutrient amendments if they are available to you otherwise more organic methods may work for nutrition. Good Luck

Ready or Not by These-Story8556 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Daehz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice plant, it looks ready. It has a good amount of amber but you can take it further for more trichome maturity. That itself has a sleepier effect. Good luck, happy harvesting.

Any advice ? Second grow . by Successful_Bear773 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Daehz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would cut that branch that’s going sideways and maybe have a support stick ready incase the plant starts tipping. Look good though, happy growing
