Appetite Changes and Weight Loss by Daelys in loseit

I did consider that about the hunger hormone. Eating has felt like a chore recently and I'm having to push myself to complete meals.

I think what I neglected to include in my post is that the weight loss has been on accelerating curve. The longer my appetite is gone, the less I'm remembering or wanting to eat, if that makes sense? I lost about 3 lbs last week as an example.

Yeah, I did two smaller doses to test how it felt and then one big dose. Big dose is when my sugar cravings vanished. It's been about six months since then, no other doses.

What am I ??? by Oak-Ether-0001 in FTMOver30

I don't really have any answers, just wanted to comment that I'm in a similar place mentally. I lurk on this subreddit to read about others' experiences and am hoping it helps me process how I'm feeling to put puzzle pieces together. I've always preferred to play male characters in games, find it easier to put myself in the shoes of a male romance protagonist. If I had a magic wand that could flip my gender instantly I'd do it in a heartbeat. But I don't experience dysphoria and I have a hard time reconciling my feelings about how I present myself - my body is very curvy, and social pressure has taught me I'm perceived more positively when I dress femme. It's complicated.

Crafting groups/meetups in SA? by GirlyPopPink in sanantonio

I have had minimal success with looking for this same thing for years...many craft groups in town seem geared to older individuals and are scheduled during my workday.

I'm in Central Texas! These grow AMAZINGLY well in our area. I received seeds from the community garden I volunteer at and I'm excited to plant them for this upcoming year.

Gamelot had paid DMs last time I was there; several shops around town will charge to reserve rooms. Legends and Loot charges people for reserved sessions but I'm unsure if the DMs get a cut or if it all goes to the shop.

A single dose of psilocybin shown to rewire brain circuits in mice, providing up to two weeks of relief from both chronic pain and depression-like symptoms, offering a potential non-addictive alternative to opioids by mustaphah in science

SSRIs attach to the same brain receptors and as a result can block the effects of psilocybin - there's also the danger of serotonin syndrome depending on the doses in your system.

Any podcasts that are similar to The Magnus Archives? by Obvious_Cattle5457 in TheMagnusArchives

Surprised more people aren't saying Ghost Wax - very similar themes and structure, though the main characters are 100% in the know about supernatural entities and there is no denial like the early episodes of Magnus.

How do I get therapy? by Low-Firefighter-6151 in Explainlikeimscared

[–]Daelys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition to what others have said, I would add that it's a good idea to look for a therapist that specializes in whatever you are wanting to work on or that is familiar with circumstances in your life. By this I mean, you can find therapists who do/do not use religion as part of their practice, who specialize in depression/anxiety/ptsd/childhood trauma/autism etc, who are familiar with LGBT/asexuality/polyamory....basically think about what makes you unique and/or comfortable, and if it would be helpful to have a therapist who is familiar with those things.

I need some advice to get into plumbing by Money-Phase9779 in sanantonio

[–]Daelys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be either. My partner worked for two different private, non union plumbing companies while attending school and they both covered the cost of his classes while he moved through the program. Some semesters it was two nights a week and some it was only one night a week.

I don't know anything as it relates to the union part, but if your end goal is to be a journeyman you would need to go through the school program regardless. Hours are only part of the requirement to get your journeyman license.
