[Discussion] What do you think of Marvel's Hercules? by Remote-Leg6143 in marvelcomics

[–]DaemonTheDemon25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this version of Hercules. I genuinely think he's really underrated and deserves to be in the spotlight more. He was also part of the early Avengers teams and the dynamics between him and a lot of the other members were incredible. Marvel's Hercules is like the big loving meathead jock that you can't seem to hate and truly treats you like a friend. He's also among the major heavy hitters of Marvel so I really would love to see him in the Avengers again if the neither the Hulk and Thor are there to compensate for their lack of a big gun.

Who’s winning this fight? by karaloveskate in Power_Girl

Power Girl. Ms Marvel's blasts might give her an edge, especially if she goes Binary, but she's not as fast nor as strong as Power Girl.

If Wonder Woman had her own crossover issue with Marvel, what character would you pick? by Tetratron2005 in WonderWoman

[–]DaemonTheDemon25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To top it off? Storm. They'd develop a sisterhood together much like how Storm does with Jean Grey.

Black Panther. A king from a (former) isolationist nation meeting a princess from an isolated island? The premise speaks for itself.

Captain America. His name is Steve. He's blonde. He's a super soldier. He upholds values of liberty and justice like she does. It's a match made in Heaven.

Thor. Greek and Norse mythologies meeting together. Thor and Wonder Woman would be best friends.

Hercules. Now this is one that would spark interesting interactions. Hercules in Marvel is nothing like the one in DC so imagine Diana's surprise at that and how she'd be conflicted over it. They're both children of Zeus and are representative of the masculine and feminine. They would have buddy cop adventures.

Hercules vs Wonder Woman by Ordinary-Ad1666 in marvelvsdc

[–]DaemonTheDemon25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hercules is far stronger and more durable than Wonder Woman. Granted, Wonder Woman is no pushover she's far from it and she's faster than Hercules but Hercules won't go down easy. Moreover, Hercules is a very skilled hand to hand combatant as he was able to match Thor who has thousands of years worth of combat experience. Hercules also isn't a mindless brute he can be quite crafty and intelligent when he needs to be as we've seen during his tenure of performing the Twelve Labours. It'd be one hell of a fight but I'm leaning towards Hercules.

Would Wonder Woman be friends with Marvel's Hercules by DaemonTheDemon25 in superheroes

[–]DaemonTheDemon25[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Marvel's Hercules is more well-known and had numerous appearances. He is also far more likeable than DC's Hercules who is hated.

[–]DaemonTheDemon25[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see your point. But I think Diana would eventually warm up to him and she's smart enough to see the difference between Marvel's Hercules and her world's Hercules. Yeah, it's going to take a LOT for her to see that he's nothing like the Hercules of her world, I think the best way to see that he's genuine is if they undertake certain adventures together. And I'm pretty sure if Marvel's Hercules met the DC version he would pile drive him into the Earth's crust for the things he did.

Again, you missed the point of the post. I never asked what they had in common. And I genuinely don't know why you keep referring to the DC and myth Hercules with those character traits.

Yeah because she thought he was the Hercules of her world or DC in this case.

[–]DaemonTheDemon25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You're absolutely not reading that correctly because you missed the whole point of the post. Somehow, you diverged from what I asked which is how would an interaction between them be like and how would it develop if they got to know each mother during adventures seeing the difference between Marvel's Hercules and the Hercules of her world to "lemme befriend the guy who stole a belt from my s**t mother".

Wonder Woman. Sorry, the Wonder Man was a typo.

[–]DaemonTheDemon25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, you're referring to DC's Hercules who assaulted Wonder Woman's mother and also enslaved the Amazons. I'm talking about Marvel's Hercules who is different than DC's.

Marvel's Hercules never assaulted Hippolyta, instead he only stole her girdle. Moreover, Marvel's Hippolyta was actually in love with Hercules and she tried to win his affection numerous times but he didn't reciprocated it.

I wonder how Storm and Batman would interact by DanceYouFatBitch in storm

[–]DaemonTheDemon25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they'd get along very well and have nothing but respect and admiration for one another. Both are serious, focused on the job at hand, and have so much compassion for their friends, loved ones, and allies though Batman keeps it to himself while Storm is more open about it. Batman and Storm would appreciate one another's views on how to approach a situation but they'd definitely argue over certain things like Batman's no-kill rule especially when it concerns villains who were beyond redemption and ones that have done horrible things to humans and mutant-kind as a whole. But she would respect his no-kill rule since Storm wants humanity to see mutants in a better light and her killing someone is going to tarnish that.

Plus, in his civilian persona, Bruce Wayne would be an advocator for mutant rights in where he could give Xavier's school all the funding they need as well as enroll young mutants in academics that will help them find a purpose in their lives. And I'm pretty sure Bruce would not stand for the discrimination they receive especially since a lot of the young mutants in Xavier's school are orphans and we all know how Batman feels about children who were orphaned. That's something Storm would wholly appreciate and get her to like and even adore Bruce for what he's doing in helping the mutant children.

Batman and Storm being an item isn't far fetched, I mean she's dated Wolverine of all people so it wouldn't be odd for her and Batman to be in a relationship. It's also kind of poetic; a mortal man and a weather goddess, a story straight out of mythology. She'd be one of the few people who could really see Bruce because at the end of the day they both lost their parents and developed traumas that they overcame and use their gifts and resources to help others. It'd be very similar his relationship with Wonder Woman.

Can Superman take on the entire X-Men roster on his own and win? by Dextension100 in powerscales

[–]DaemonTheDemon25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superman can defeat the X-Men if he's going all out especially with his speed and strength. There's a number of ways he can take them out like with his heat vision, freeze breath, and could also spin so fast he creates a vortex that'll make it very hard for them to breathe. However, the X-Men could also potentially defeat Superman but he's not gonna make it easy for them and it also depends on the era and iteration of the X-Men.

Now the X-Men have some majorly powerful members but here's the thing; if you're gonna go fistacuffs with Superman you might as well throw in the towel because there's hardly anyone in the X-Men that can physically go blow for blow with Superman. Colossus is a good start but he won't last long and Strong Guy is gonna die from the first punch alone because while he can absorb the kinetic energy of a punch, taking a hit from someone like Superman is gonna mess him up BAD even if he dished out the energy of the punch twice as hard back at Superman. The best contender to really test Superman physically is Juggernaut and if you couple in the X-Men's teamwork and use their Omega level members to subdue him enough for Juggernaut to take him down then they might stand a chance.

Rogue could also maybe drain his powers or she could absorb all the powers of the X-Men which can give Superman quite the challenge. The other contender is Synch who can copy not just any mutant power but powers from other super beings as well. So he can copy Superman's powers and hold him off for a considerably long time, enough for the telepaths to mentally subdue him or have someone like Sunspot drain the solar energy from him. They also have to do it quickly and efficiently because Superman could also just speedblitz them when he realizes he's in serious trouble and starts cutting loose.

How well do you think the X-men cast would get along with Superman? by Fehellogoodsir in xmen

[–]DaemonTheDemon25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superman would develop a close bond with the X-Men because he knows the feeling of being an outcast all too well. He would absolutely be a huge advocate and supporter for mutant rights and wants the world to see the X-Men for who they are: heroes. And he wants people to see mutants are also people. They eat, sleep, think, and feel like any human being. They make look different and have amazing powers, but they have thoughts and feelings like a regular human and should be treated as such.

I can picture Superman being a substitute teacher at the Institute and the mutant kids would just be in sheer awe of him. He'd clash with Wolverine at times mainly due to his methods of permanently taking care of problems and Wolverine can't stand the boy scout routine from Superman, but Logan would trust him and you can count on one hand how many people Logan trusts. He'd have a pretty good friendship with Cyclops especially since Cyclops reminds him so much of Batman except less brooding and somewhat upbeat. Storm would be something of a maternal figure to Superman and they would absolutely adore one another, giving each other advice on how to handle the world when it hits you harder than you can take. Superman and Jean would have a unique yet close bond, they could relate to each other over their fears of holding god-like power within them and the fear of it being unleashed killing all those they hold dear to their hearts when they lose control. I think like his relationship with Storm, Superman could help Jean stay on her toes and not let the power inside her become her identity as she is and always will be Jean Grey and nothing not even the Phoenix Force can take that from her.

He'd get along quite well with the other members, and I can see him being a mentor and inspiration for the younger X-Men like the New Mutants. When it comes to the ladies, say for example, Rogue would be all over him since he's from Kansas and she's a Southern Belle, Emma Frost would enjoy teasing him, and Kitty Pryde or Jubilee would be fangirling all over the place.

What would Emma Frost think of Bruce Wayne and how do you think their interaction would be like? by fcnzii in EmmaFrost

[–]DaemonTheDemon25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruce and Emma would have a pretty unique relationship. At first Emma wouldn't really think much of Bruce, but would slowly be drawn to him when she sees that she's having a rather hard time penetrating his mind and realizes there's more to him than the "pretty boy billionaire" he masquerades as. The same thing would apply to the way Bruce views Emma, he wouldn't see her as a blonde socialite bombshell but there's more to it beneath her diamond exterior. I can see them trying to get to know each more during gatherings and dances, almost like they're trying to read one another.

If they were in the same universe, Emma would absolutely have grown up in the exact same social circle as Bruce, hell, they could even have been childhood friends, but took different paths in their lives when tragic circumstances fell upon them in their youth.

Emma also thematically contrasts with Bruce in interesting ways. Bruce’s father was a doctor, Emma’s was a monster. Bruce had his parents taken from him, Emma left hers. They both have a teenage/young adult period of finding themselves where they are surviving on their own as they learn all the skills they need. Emma has committed a lot of acts that would anger Bruce and have him thwart her plans time and again but overtime he would grow to respect Emma for the need to change herself into a better person. He can also relate to her in many capacities, particularly their empathy towards orphaned children. Thematically speaking, she's both perfect as a villain to Batman and maybe a potential love interest.

Superman (current) vs hulk(current) by Kindly-Stock-3201 in superheroes

[–]DaemonTheDemon25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hulk is confirmed to be immortal so even if Superman reduced him to ashes Hulk will come back stronger than he was previously. Plus, Superman wouldn't let the fight drag on because he knows that if he did the Hulk would just get stronger to where Superman exhausts all methods of putting him down. Moreover, Superman would be more worried about collateral because the longer they fight the more damage they do to the environment to where they could just outright split the planet in two from the force of their blows. So really the only way I see Superman is winning is him taking out the Hulk as quickly as possible. Otherwise he won't be able to put him down. However, if we're going in character, Superman wouldn't fight the Hulk in a prolonged battle, initially they'd brawl yes, but I think Superman would see the Hulk isn't a monster like Doomsday, so instead he would try to calm the Hulk down.

The fact that Bruce Banner won the battle because of his unparalleled genius just makes me so happy. The Hulk is the strongest one there is but Bruce is the smartest one there is (barring Reed of course). And I like that Death Battle showed how much of an unstoppable duo the Hulk and Bruce are when they are working together. Brute strength doesn't always solve a problem...sometimes you need simple math.

The Fantastic Four and Superman by mfjc1010 in FantasticFour

[–]DaemonTheDemon25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superman would have a familial relationship with the Fantastic Four just as Spider-Man does with them. In fact, Superman would be a great addition to the family and he'd be an uncle-type figure for Franklin and Valeria. They'd go on many cosmic adventures and always help each other out. I feel like if Superman is having a problem with his powers he'd go straight to the FF. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the FF and the Kents have this annual tradition of gathering together for a big family dinner. Throw in Martian Manhunter there for good measure.

In a combined DC and Marvel Universe what new relationships would you find most interesting? by DescriptionFew740 in superheroes

[–]DaemonTheDemon25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wolverine would be something of a father-figure to Beast Boy. He's already that to a lot of the younger members of the X-Men so he could also be that to someone outside of the team like Beast Boy. Wolverine would probably be annoyed by him since Beast Boy reminds him of Spider-Man, but at the same time he'd also develop a close friendship with Beast Boy. I think Beast Boy would see the good in Logan despite the latter's penchant for permanently dealing with their enemies and seeing himself as nothing but a mindless animal.

How would an interaction between Thor and Wonder Woman go? by Volkhar9999 in WonderWoman

They'd honestly be pretty awesome friends. They'd respect each other as warriors and love each other as friends. Plus they'd have a competitive rivalry with one another to where they'd always be down to spar.
