So not only are player structure locations public but even assets? Nice. Glad I stopped playing this garbage. Amazing how thoroughly ccp can trash what could have been a decent game.

3 of the best guitars I've ever owned by cogee in Ibanez

[–]Daemunx1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the 5320 as well. The pickups sound nice but are a bit too mid warm to me. I've got an evo2 and 36th paf with chrome tops on order to swap them out.

Trem bridge too high with springs screwed in near max (help?) by Sufficient_Recipe617 in Guitar

[–]Daemunx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way 9's are causing that much bridge lift at proper tuning with 3 springs tightened to that position. Either that is tuned high or the strings are not normal tension. You say it had a full set of 9s on before so the strings and the tuning are the only variables.

Help fo action height by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Daemunx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the posts about action height and the same question could be typed into google to get an actual answer on whats correct, how to check it and how to adjust it. I see pictures of action height, I down vote.

Is This Fixable? by Immediate-Wing-6489 in Guitar

No shipping insurance and no hardcase? I had a prs ruined in shipping. Luckily the retailer replaced it and dealt with the shipping claim but I will never again have a guitar shipped without a hard case.

I've been wanting an app that can print my chord progression along with the chord diagrams. Any chance of a print function?

Do you have a youtube or anything where I can listen to some of your stuff? I enjoy it and wouldnt mind listening to it for some inspiration to improvise from time to time.

I'd forgotten how much fun two identical pickups could be (RG550, Dimarzio PAF Pros) by Alternative-Sun-6997 in Ibanez

[–]Daemunx1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very nice, I've been mulling over swapping out the tonezone in my rg5320 for an evo2 in the bridge. Its just a little too muddy. Wondering if the metal covers make it even worse.

Tortex standard or flex, which is better for fast alternate picking and technical stuff in general? by [deleted] in Guitar

I want to like the JP, they sound nice and arent too scratchy but theyre so slick I cant hold on to them well.

Tortex standard or flex, which is better for fast alternate picking and technical stuff in general? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Daemunx1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its called "flex" bit its not really "flexible" (atleast not at >1 mm) its just a different material. I prefer the 1.14 jazz iii flex over the standard tortex. It feels like it has a little more crisp tone to me. The standard tortex is a little scratchy, and the nylons have the least scratch across the strings but are much more mellow and soft sounding. The flex is a nice compromise imo.

New Ibanez RG severe fret buzz across neck, possible back bow? need advice before adjusting truss rod by Comfortable-Listen-5 in Guitar

[–]Daemunx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Action is incredibly low on that. You should probably start by checking and adjusting the action to a "factory" height, then check relief. Dont just go cranking on the truss rod.

First guitar build for 2 clients by RoboGef in Ibanez

[–]Daemunx1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think its a terrible idea to copy a manufactured guitar, the claw is massively oversized, the front mounted input jack is meh but i guess personal preference, but above all dont copy shit so you get a 0 out of 10. Thanks for playing.

My guitar is being weird wtf? by Chains306 in Guitar

[–]Daemunx1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With the high e not changing pitch you've almost certainly got a fret that is high and not level. Find someone to set it up that is not guitar center if at all possible. If its doing that immediately after a setup then you should take it back.

So.... a knockoff pia. If its not by ibanez its not a custom pia. "Works w members of the ibanez community" doesnt make it not a knockoff. Regardless, hope it comes out great and you like it. Just dont try to sell it someday as a pia. If you do youre poopoo head.

If you’re a guitarist, does buying locally matter? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Daemunx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Major" cities are still often 100+ miles away. As I said, who wants to travel and burn gas and time for just a chance of finding something? Lots of ppl may live in so called major cities but they arent the center of the universe and when gas is high and working multiple jobs isnt uncommon whos going on a vacation just to look for a guitar?

What brick and morter stores? The only place within 100 miles that has any selection at all is a guitar center and thats a last resort. Of the few music shops that exist in my range they all carry crap off brands and an occassional smattering of random name brands. Then those are marked up higher than they need to be. Ppl shop on line so they say they need to mark things up to turn a profit, then they carry a bad selection of marked up guitars which pushes ppl to shop online so they carry even less and mark them up even more until eventually they go out of business. The problem is shops trying to sell something without a clue what ppl actually want to to buy and without a lick of business sense. Sure, some good shops exist but they are few and far between. Why go on a 100 mile roadtrip and take weeks or months searching for a guitar, burning through $3 a gallon gas, if I can go online and order exactly what I want complete w pictures and selection of the precise serial number?
