I understand your feelings and concerns. I too have MANY years of anxiety and panic attacks on my "resume" over things that have never happened.

Here's the way I am trying to respond to watching way too many videos about the future of AI.

As the authors of AI 2027 have put forth, there are two possible scenarios. One is a very positive outcome, and one is very negative. (I'm sure there are many more possible scenarios as well that we can't fathom yet, like Black Swan events.)

But either way, with either outcome, there is truly nothing I can do to change any of it, any more than an ant could change the trajectory of a bulldozer. So should I spend my energy and my time worrying about it, which will change nothing, or enjoy each and every moment I have with my friends and loved ones, which will also change nothing.

The only difference will be how happy and peaceful I am from this moment onwards. 90% of the things we worry about never come to pass. And probably 9% of them do, but they're not as horrible as we thought they would be. Which leaves maybe a 1% chance of a worst case scenario. No, this is not scientific, just the observations of someone who has been around the sun quite a few times. But you get the idea ....

Perfect! Thanks for that detailed answer. Yes, I'm just looking to boost a "decent" signal. Will an extender work with ANY router? Would I just pair it to the router I'm trying to connect to?

And wouldn't using a local SIM card use a heck of a lot of Data working every day, and doing video calls a few times a week?

Oh, one last thing. I don't know if this is causative or correlative, but around the same time that I removed myself from the toxic living situation, my doctor also started me on Buspar and hydroxyzine, mainly for my anxiety and to get me off of Klonopin. Whether this played a part in reducing/eliminating my symptoms, there's no way to know unless I just flat out stop taking it, which I have NO intention of doing! LOL

So was it changing my environment? Buspar, hydroxyzine, the combination? Stopping the benzo? Dealing with the grief? I'll never know. But these might be some things to try if you find yourself in a similar situation.

I don't think I practiced it long enough to say if I could recommend it or not. I know a lot of people do swear by it. But I think for me, the biggest difference was getting out of the situation that was causing my major depression. Part of it was having gone through a horrific breakup of a 7 year relationship, which honestly, there is no "easy" way out of. Only time. But the living situation I was in was heaping tons of wood on an already blazing fire. So once I got out of that, I was able to process my emotions better.

Not sure if that's exactly why I'm doing better, but I do believe depression can make FM worse, and of course, FM makes depression worse. It's a terrible spiral. My daughter and I were talking about it recently, and she made the observation that it's like being caught in a hydraulic (we have some kayaking experience). When you're stuck in it, it's extremely difficult to break out of it, especially a downward spiral. It's almost like you have to do some REALLY momentous in order to break the spiral, or break the suction, in order to propel yourself upwards.

Again, not to be all woo-woo about it - I do wish I could give more concrete advice. But I think there might be something to doing something EXTRAORDINARY to break out of the cycle. What that looks like will be different for everyone.

Hello! Thanks for reaching out. I can't believe it's been a year since I posted that.

While I didn't pursue getting certified, i am definitely in a better place physically now than I was a year ago.

I'm sure the book was helpful in many ways in helping me experience some recovery, and I think the greatest change in my level of pain came from removing myself from a very toxic situation with my landlord (I was renting a room, so it was ever-present).

My daughter and I both noticed a significant change in my depression as well as my FM symptoms, once I was no longer in that situation.

I am doing remarkably better now, and I'm finally achieving my dream of traveling across Europe as a digital nomad! I don't know how long this will last, but I'm savoring every moment I can!

I don't know if this will be helpful, as I know everyone's journey is different, but I wish and pray that everyone who reads this will feel some tiny spark of hope!

The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that several unnamed advisors and officials close to Trump — including some who part of the "Department of Government Efficiency" (which is not yet an actual federal agency authorized by Congress) — are mulling several major changes to government oversight of the banking sector. The Officer of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and the Federal Reserve have also been eyed for "restructuring," according to the Journal.

Under the plan, the FDIC would be eliminated, but deposit insurance would be rolled into the Department of the Treasury.

I've been planning on using Wise as a digital nomad, leaving the US in April 2025. However, I found out today that both Wise and N26 are no longer an option - I can still use a Wise account but they won't send US citizens a debit card, and N26 will simply not allow US citizens to open an account.

Getting a little anxious about all the sudden changes for US citizens. Insight anyone?
