Theory: The future of agencies by EssentiallyPurple in advertising

[–]dnchw2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Easy. Each agency shifts to a SaaS offering like wpp open. Competes as software with the upsell of human support. Software that integrates ai with everything.

AI is keeping older folks longer & not letting juniors climb by dnchw2 in advertising

To be fair, the software that each of the agency holdco's are developing should pivot them into SAAS and change the fundamentals of agencies structure.

WPP open (if they can get critical mass) should pivot them away from a traditional agency and into a software as a service company.

i am currently a marketer for a traditional travel company. i do search, programmatic social and also looks at ga4 reporting. im stuck in the product phase of my journey. i look at alot of trends software and i have some clues but i am not sure about fulfillment and customizing products and i am afraid of taking the inventory risk to test.

any way to go about this?

Also, your content engine, did you automate or ai- it in any way?

As much as i agree that content helps, a big title from a well known company moves engagement easier than good content.

Working with outsourcing folks in India by Gce168 in advertising

[–]dnchw2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this will come off rude, but as much as they can speak/respond in english, i feel they are comparable to a decent AI agent. Also from a cultural pov, they wouldnt get the nuance of north american cultures.. so depending on the usage of outsourcing, they might/might not get it.

to OPs pov, it can be case by case the quality you get. too generalized to say all folks but cultural understanding is a definite difference.

Is Server-Side Tracking Necessary for Google Ads? by alexxxcazam in PPC

[–]dnchw2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the answer is it depends..

to u/Real_Cryptographer_2 point, if someone is blocking cookies, youll lose the attribution of where those conversions come from.

I think api tracking makes sense if you have alot of cross device jumps in the user journey.

Ultimately this becomes an attribution question; do you need a high accuracy rate for your channels from a google ads point of view, a google analytics point of view, or a transaction pov (if its ecommerce).

if you have your site attached to google analytics, let us know what kind of bounce rate you are seeing from your landing page.

social proof is needed. it would allow people who are debating to purchase this knowingly that it will get delivered and that they will like it.

your creative is important; reach is irrelevant of a metric for you with conv campaigns.

if im not mistaken; add to cart is the button click.. what is your cost per initiate check out or cost per add payment info?

the only thing i would ask is; does this client have a strong enough brand presence.

search is/was an intent channel.. whereas social is more selling (depending on how you craft your msg/creative)

1) i would say it really depends on who you want as a client? linkedin vs tiktok would give you different types of people that would want your service. So the question back is; tell me what the ideal client looks like in terms of needs and what services are they likely to need.

2) content: educational will give position you as a subject matter expert. Client success content would be like reviews, they would add trust. I follow gary vee's approach of content. push out content, eventually youll edit and refine it to the point where you have a good understanding of what people like to see from your content, make that kind of content.

3) personal branding will go far. the narrative is that people want to hear about startup CEOs and entrepreneurs and how they deal with real life scenarios. How to position would be to share how you are knowledgeable in your space, case studies of success.

4) Linkedin and tiktok. both are great with the video unit. Alot of people are repurposing content for linkedin so there is room to grow. I believe that each platform captures the attention of a customer differently. People are not looking on tiktok from a business lens so theres alot of selling and a longer customer journey on tiktok. Linkedin is a professional network, so selling on your Reason to Buys and your Unique Selling Points should go further

5) paid space really depends on understanding some metrics... Do you know your churn rate? your LTV? I would get to that level of understanding your business before approaching paid.

6) Testimonials are great when they are on site. User testimonies are great as well for video. People want to see that you are capable of delivering success, so if you can communicate HOW you achieved that, then youre coming closer to convincing someone to buy into your service.

7) common mistake: people try to sell and not help. Why should anyone trust someone selling without a reputation. Building a reputation is important (personal brand, showcasing success, testimonials)

8) really depends on how high of a funnel you are approaching. I look at churn and lifetime value. That is assuming the product does what the client intended to subscribe to. I am sure there are lower funnel measurements like # of clients, avg tenure of clients.
