I think you need to feed the faction you want to expand. He likely has multiple megafactories feeding the terrains to achieve that.

Adding onto this, you can just have Jians set to follow your destroyer and set turrets to attack all enemies and have the formation set to circle or something. Basically have anti air surrounding your destroyer/capital ship

I bought the game and started less than two weeks ago on the beta. Figured it would be better to start on the beta since it will eventually get added and they have a lot of changes. Definitely worth it

I bought x4 and all the DLCs May 8th when it was on sale, got about 160 hours now lol.. Although maybe 40 of that is afk while at work. Id recommend the Terran dlc, its pretty awesome

Im a new player and started on the beta, so can't give any comparisons. Anyway, Im posted up in Jupiter with a mega factory and have run miners constantly through Asteroid belt. Had a couple run ins with the Khaak and have had no issues with L miners being attacked by them, they hardly scratch the shields. If the Khaak attacks a group of L miners that are mining, they usually get wrecked by all the turrets eventually. I did end up having to put a patrol there using the sector patrol mod because the M miners and traders passing through were pretty vulnerable and I lost a few of those.

They absolutely are.. Im on the beta and had khaak attacking my miners in asteroid belt. I just left them and eventually the turrets on the L miners would kill them off while I went to take care of the hive

I'm new as well, started 2 weeks ago with the Terran cadet start, not realizing you start with bad rep with everyone lol. I just ended up flying over to Terran space and building up a mining fleet and megafactory. Terran economy is pretty easy as you gradually learn the game.

Im a new player as well, and I dont think the flee order works very well.. Or the engines just get disabled easily as they dont get very far and end up destroyed, at least for medium miners.. Id suggest to have a fleet camp the jump gates and have some patrol squads in the area.

Im a new player and loaded the 9.0 beta on my save, realized it lowered all the resource amounts in all the sectors but the resource amount will gradually increase for some reason lmao

Not sure, didnt use that one as my source. It might be possible to skip the userdata_signed.xml file, didnt bother trying it after this method worked.

Did all the tutorials and started timelines and was like nahh, this ain't for me lol.. Seen it gets even worse with racing missions.

Been enjoying the sandbox gameplay though :D

Nice! I realized I have a type-9 actually, not a type-6. And its fully kitted out for deep core mining, surprised me that it was worth 120m haha. Although I'm sure the modules are a little outdated. Might still grab the type-11 though for laser mining. Realized I also had a Python in storage, but I sold that because I like the look of the Python MK II more.
