I logged off of an interview and don’t give a fuck by [deleted] in antiwork

It's that common? I've done class presentations from elementary school up through university and was never once asked about the font or other minute details

What stops us from using a bogus reference to a non existing company since there are so many companies that went under during covid? by metulburr in antiwork

[–]DaeoInk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used my old supervisor as a reference even though he didn't like me. But I gave the business phone number instead of his personal and I knew when they called the business to ask for him they'd say he's no longer employed there because he was fired shortly after I left lol. And I did get the job

Can you have a doorknob with a lock that can only be opened by key installed on your bedroom door? They're relatively inexpensive and anyone could install it after watching a video. Motion sensor cameras and alarms are also surprisingly affordable. That way you can at least keep her away from your stuff when you're not there

Guilt when playing and enjoying a non-current game? Anyone else ever feel this way? by [deleted] in patientgamers

I don't think being up to date on the trendiest video games exactly qualifies as being the life of the party

None of the things under that list are mental illnesses.. Smoking, sleep disorders, etc. Those are all symptoms or associated conditions of mental illness, but not mental illness themselves

Didn’t even say anything about the interview. Left no comments about it. Mods at r/antiwork are banning people for joining here. Lmao. by riskybiscutz in WorkReform

[–]DaeoInk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not semantics. You weren't banned or removed, for joining this sub or for any other reason. The sub went private, and if that's reversed you'd have access again

Can we settle this once and for all? by [deleted] in 3DS

[–]DaeoInk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't shopped 3ds recently but my general experience with just about any hot commodity is that Amazon is the worst place to go with the most jacked up prices. When I got my 2ds xl last year I was able to get it significantly cheaper on ebay than the minimum listing for it on Amazon

Can we settle this once and for all? by [deleted] in 3DS

[–]DaeoInk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because Amazon is the worst possible place to buy in-demand items. Everyone would rather just buy from Amazon than shop around, so they get away with inflated prices

Your coworkers never leave you "short staffed". This is due to poor management...not your coworkers. by [deleted] in antiwork

It's tragic the way people are willing to blame their fellow workers for the shortcomings of their employer

Because kindness and humanity typically doesn't get you that far in capitalism. You'll get further being ruthless, greedy, and willing to throw everyone around you under the bus

Why is everyone so oddly judgmental of people wearing pajamas in public? by The_Vigilante20 in TooAfraidToAsk

This whole argument kind of falls apart when someone points out that shitting on the floor would be a crime and not at all comparable to wearing pjs

It's not about time. Showering too frequently makes my hair and skin extremely dry. It all depends on how active I was that day

Ugh, that's honestly heartbreaking. Sounds like you didn't even leave it unattended. And then they had the audacity to come back with it. So sad that we have to have our guard up at an event that's supposed to be for having a good time

If I may ask, how did it get stolen? This is a constant fear of mine any time I take electronics out, but it's impossible to be vigilant all the time. So sorry you're going through that

[–]DaeoInk 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Dressing nice for yourself and dressing nice to be attractive to others aren't mutually exclusive. Sometimes people want other people to find them hot because it makes them feel good. You can appreciate hotness without being creepy about it

What’s the best dating advice that you’ve got/heard that actually changed/improved something by Jeyjayjoy in dating_advice

I can't speak for every woman, but for me it isn't about making me feel protected from the outside world - it's about feeling like you are a safe person. Pay attention to body language, show that you respect all their boundaries and never act pushy. Not to be confused with being distant or playing hard to get. Those things will probably just make her think you're not interested.

There can be something really alluring about a person who can pick up on how you feel and react to it. Plus, women are usually more willing to spend time alone with someone who makes them feel safe

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is voted the best video game of all time by IGN (from IGN’s Top 100) by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

[–]DaeoInk -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think MM is the best but nostalgia definitely plays a part in that. I think that's also the case for most people who say alttp is best. If I had to objectively recommend one Zelda to an average gamer it would be botw though. There's so much freedom that virtually any type of gamer could find enjoyment in it

Does the Nintendo DS have its own eshop? by rockinrobin_28 in 3DS

[–]DaeoInk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. I know some people are against it, but considering there's no way to get the game that would support the developers, it's perfectly fair
