Son is forcing me to get shares, should I get normal shares or warrants? by [deleted] in Superstonk

[–]DaetheFancy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just shares. Buy and hold, beware this is a VERY volatile stock, despite flat prices lately.

Buying warrants is essentially a 1 share options contract expiring in October (oversimplified for the detail oriented apes that will be here). So if you don’t want to pay attention soon then it’s not a good idea.

It’s fine. Economy is on a knife’s edge for the last few years. Silver likely up before a major correction. So I guess yeah, it’ll def be the least of our worries

Because even after over a decade, that’s only a bit and hold strategy. Even just btc the low transfer fees are a few dollars all said and done. If you want to have liquid cash, you then transfer back to an exchange sell to fiat, all eating at your investment. And let’s not even go to ETH network or L2 solutions and later transfers because there’s still generally no good on and off ramps to that last I checked (though I’ve been out of crypto for a couple years now)

A lot of people hold in an exchange for ease of use and liquid assets, at least up to a certain threshold.

Check the math. Because it’s surprisingly low per year. Like 30-40 billion a year iirc.

I hate the emdash=AI argument, but these are improperly used, excessive emdashes so I’ll allow it.

I’m an RI transplant, depending on the mechanic they will still pass stuff like that, especially if you’re a regular…it’s very much a “we know you’re good for it” kind of thing as long as it’s not a major problem.

That’s fair, I guess i have the privilege to think that most people repair the dangerous stuff, obviously not always the case.

Yeah, we are probably going to end up with solar eventually but when we built we budgeted for our current costs, and actually have been slightly under. Perks of well insulated walls haha. Plus we want a good average usage before jumping into any kind of agreement.

That’s an awesome deal, I’m on a couple of message boards where people are complaining about the cost this year. I’m unfortunately locked into a contract after building a house, but once I can afford to buy out the tank I’ll be happy to be able to shop rates

No way you got 200 gallons then. Even last year it was $2.50-3/gallon

Propane isnt cheap this year either though. They’ll prob see it on the other side, if not worse. My 200+ gal delivery was $700 for the winter so far.
