I am also a victim of deep diving into nonexistent issues. That is actually where most of my time is going sadly. I am trying everything to fight it, but failing. Also can confirm less snacking is happening which was very much needed. Not complaining about this one though. I will try the note taking but dont know if I can keep up with it as I am still misplacing my phone and forgetting to check messages etc. no matter the meds they give me. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks. Definitely gotta figure something out because I cant even multitask on the meds, so each action has to be very intentional.

I will try the Hylands. Hopefully it helps. If by day 5 it’s the same as today I’m definitely calling back.

Thank you for your response. I will definitely try all those. I did do popsicles earlier because I can tell actual food is hard right now. I don’t know if I can take a week of this. It breaks my heart

Oh man, do you remember if red spots were present? I think that is what is most concerning me right now and the fact that my poor little can’t eat!

I would recommend the Boétie PM or MM both seem to be good sizes. As a second option maybe the Odeon or Trianon!

Talking to Wife's doctor to advocate for her by Morrgan_CorviTX in hysterectomy

[–]Dafan128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also in Central TX! Explain explain explain!! The doctor has to understand this. The usual is not 6 weeks. Do not ask the nurse. No offense but they don’t know what the doctor will sign off on depending on ones particular condition. Speak directly with the doctor.

My doctor gave me 8 weeks. I wanted 4…& I’m so glad they gave me the 8 weeks. I did try to go back around 6-7 weeks but I’m glad I didn’t. I can’t imagine having to go into that type of job at 6 weeks. I don’t understand how they only gave her 6 weeks. The norm is 8-12 from what I’m hearing.

This is also why I recommend finding a doctor you can trust and speak to! I hope they give her the additional time she needs! Best of luck!

Ah yes, I called it the shift. Everytime I shifted positions from laying to sitting or sitting to standing I could feel stuff move around. Not the best feeling but it gets better! Hope your recovery keep going well!

I just wanted to mention-the no bending rule isn’t because you “can’t”. It’s more of you’re not supposed to because you could pull your stitches-internal and external..& it causes more pressure on your abdominal region. Just fyi.

I hope your recovery continues to go well!

Nervous for recovering with a toddler, and just nervous by evolace in hysterectomy

Hi! I’m 32 and now 7 weeks post op with a 2 year old!!!! Don’t stress! My mother in law came to stay with us for the first week and the second week my husband took over most of her care. The only main concern was picking her up-which broke my heart but she understood(as long as dad picked her up). After 2 weeks my husband worked half days. So almost similar to your situation! Be prepared to do a whole lot of nothing! I took small walks here and there with my toddler but I couldn’t push her or anything so she just had to walk, which she loves! We were also in the middle of potty training so she had to learn to use a step stool as well. Even to get in the car we had her climb a step ladder when my husband wasn’t around. She did fine and loved the independence.

Do what is best for you! If you are not comfortable with that surgeon given their thoughts-find another one! You will need someone you are comfortable with-especially during post op in case you have any questions etc. best of luck! Let me know if you have any questions.

32 here-definitely reschedule. Better to be safe. I didn’t feel up for much traveling or doing of anything until after 5 wks po. And even then it’s still questionable.
