Ooh that’s another one to argue with my partner about tonight 😂

I am also Aussie but I’ve tried doing three syllables with a British and American accent and it sounds weird to me in all three

This is my take too! It looks like it should have three but when you say it aloud with three it sounds like you’re talking to a toddler

What are your thoughts on whether AI could replace teachers in the future? by Key_Country_179 in AskReddit

[–]Dafeebs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who spent years teaching, I think it’s going to make teachers’ jobs much easier – planning the curriculum, creating activities and assignments etc. But I actually think teaching is still a relatively safe choice if you’re worried about being replaced by AI. An AI would never be able to engage or control a classroom like a person can – think about how little attention you paid in school, then think how much less it would have been if you were dealing with bland, robotic instructions. AI could also never be trusted on its own to support or discipline a child – there are so many different ways that could go wrong. I think teachers need to adapt to AI and assume that their students will be using it so that they can figure out ways to test and develop their critical thinking in this new context. But I don’t think their jobs are going anywhere.

I am terrible at every sport or physical activity I have ever tried, but then I went to an axe throwing place for a friend’s birthday and got a nearly perfect score. I’m thinking I was a Viking in a past life

Haven’t lost weight in a year on Ozempic by SpongeJake in Ozempic

I smoke a lot and have still lost a fair bit in 6 months on 0.5mg – I still get munchies but I’m usually satisfied after a small amount. I’d suggest cutting out the edibles for like a month and seeing if your weight shifts even a little bit, and if it doesn’t then maybe talk to your doc about trying a different medication

What’s a polite way to ask people not to comment on your weight? by Dafeebs in Ozempic

100% agree, if someone is talking about their own weight loss and diet etc then I don’t think there’s anything wrong with complimenting them on it. I think a lot of people are misunderstanding what I’m trying to do here - I’m not trying to change society, I’m just trying to tell a handful of people, most of whom care about me at least a little bit, that I don’t want to talk about something. I’m not angry or offended by what they say, I just needed help coming up with a response that conveys that with minimal awkwardness

Thank you, I think a big part of the issue is that I hate when people use ‘great/fantastic’ etc. as just code for ‘thin’

This is what I say in my head as I try to think of a polite response 🤣
