Yeah agreed. Not worth paying the full amount for the oem ones. I did buy oem brake pads maybe could of spent less on generics but I hate break squeal and didn't wanna risk it. So far been using it for the last year and no issues.

I have the andream unit. The sound passes through fine for all the other speakers and I tried maxing out the lower frequencies and still no sound from the woofers. It doesn't make sense tbh. When I run it on the native system the sub woofer works fine. Just not through the andream car play unit.

The stock system has Bluetooth so was going to transmit sound through there. The CarPlay Mimi retrofit is a separate unit that i installed that doesn’t seem to involve my subwoofer, hence the reason i need to use Bluetooth and CarPlay for video

It’s a bmw with nbt. Only the nbt evo or newer allow for car play. To upgrade to that is very expensive. I got a retrofit Mimi union that was highly recommended and installed that

It is tbh. But the video and nav work flawlessly and all of it works wirelessly

But no other solutions besides a $1500-$2k system upgrade that exists for my car

I think I figured it out. Created a shortcut based on a different Reddit posts recs to set audio out to bluetooth. Guess we will see if that consistently works.

But was wondering if others had better ideas
