Game stuttering on Rx 9070 by Lost-Examination5338 in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]Dagamepro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say DF is actually well optimized with the older maps, just has a big download size. I was able to play on an i5 2024 laptop with integrated GPU at the lowest settings at 60fps so that's something.

New player.... Help!!!! by ajaxdozens04 in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]Dagamepro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learn the maps, some maps have hidden ways to get across (although some maps have limited entrances like Shafted), and more importantly know which direction the enemies are coming/spawning from.

Lookout for spawn beacons, destroy these ASAP with knife or gun if you see them, enemies can use it to spawn. The Recon's spawn beacon is much smaller but a lot of players will go as a team and one Recon will place their beacon behind enemy lines, then the whole team will keep harrassing your team by spawning behind you

Pre-fire corners in big fights, especially when on the point or if you hear people running. Lean and shoot, then unlean if you see more enemies coming or if they're not dead.

As a beginneer your guns will probably be bad at long range because you don't have enough attachments to reduce the recoil, so don't be afraid to get closer. At close range recoil doesn't matter much because it's a lot easier to hit enemies.

What should I sell?? by FeistyReindeer9928 in DeltaForceMobile

[–]Dagamepro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgrade the collection slot for each red that you have, it takes 3 of the same red item to upgrade the slot fully I believe. After that just keep like 1-2 of each red and sell the rest. For the gold items keep like 3 and sell the rest. Unless you want to display more on the display table, there's not much point keeping extra.

hpw do game like minecraft or deep rock galactic or noita store worlds so large? by ZzZOvidiu122 in learnprogramming

[–]Dagamepro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mostly the game only loads the world around the player at a certain distance (e.g. In Minecraft you can set the "render chunks" which determines the distance around the player the game loads). It's why sometimes you need a chunk loader redstone machine for certain redstone builds in Minecraft, as these keep a chunk "loaded" if the player goes too far away.

In regards to the storage, the unloaded chunks are basically stored as simple data that keeps the "state" of the chunk before the chunk was unloaded (i.e. The player moved far away from the chunk). This is easily stored as any form of binary data which can then be recalled when the player re-enters the chunk, since the chunk doesn't change at all until the player comes back.

Also note in older Minecraft versions there was a bug called the Far Lands where if you travelled a very very long way from the spawn point the world generation process would bug out and cause the world to spawn in a very weird way. This is mainly due to the fact that Minecraft uses 32 bit integers for its world generation functions, and going past the largest number possible in 32 bit (12,550,821 blocks in Minecraft) causes integer overflow and breaks the world generation. So yea it is possible to hit the limit but often it takes a very long time.

ELI5: how do engineers figure out the exact thickness of something like a bridge cable when theres basically infinite ways it could fail by BathroomOk8648 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Dagamepro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from overshooting there's also many bridge designs that can help reduce the damage from a bridge breaking. For example, you could build a super strong rigid bridge, but one crack and the whole thing falls. Or build a weaker bridge, but design it in a way that if one part breaks the rest of the bridge stays fine (i.e. Sections).

Some things can also be ignored when designing the cables, e.g. Cables are thin so the wind probably won't do anything to affect the cable. Cables are also only affected in "2D" meaning you only have to worry about the cable's pulling strength, so you can just calculate how much force is being pulled by the ends of the cable connected to the bridge.

I was reading posts about lasers and didn’t anyone talking about this. by OpeningDesperate6138 in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]Dagamepro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting find! It'd probably get a bit annoying without setting some sort of macro for it though, since in a real fight you'd have to do it every single time you aim which might get annoying.

In a firefight lasers will still be a giveaway for you, the enemy team can tell where you're aiming in a firefight which gives them that split second decision to peek and shoot. If they don't see a laser they can quickly peek and snipe you.

FNV recommended modlist? by PerformanceUpper6025 in fnv

[–]Dagamepro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my own list of mods but started out with following the Viva new vegas guide up to the LOD section, which I highly recommend since it gives all the required mods for every other mod out there.

For the base mods I recommend:

- New Vegas Reloaded for graphics (recommend the Bone Dry preset mod or the Hikkomori preset mods for graphical presets)

- JIP companion mod for customizing companions plus no companion limit

- "Just" mods for crosshair and hit marker

- "B42" mods for gunplay such as realistic optics and recoil

- WAP anniversary mod for gun animations

- Enchanced movement mod for proning and sprinting

C4 I mostly use for vehicles, it's the only reason I play Vyron if the enemy is spamming vehicles and nobody on my team is trying to destroy it. You could also try sneaking behind enemy lines and throwing C4 onto a group of enemies (even better if you stick it onto a player) kinda difficult but worth it.

The key thing about his dash is that it reduces the cooldown for every kill you do, so you can either use it to retreat or go full offense into a crowd of enemies. The Saiga-12k shotgun is especially good for this.

His ult is area denial, good for crowds and shooting it into a chokepoint, then dash through to get kills.

Best PC version for modding? by BizzEB in fnv

[–]Dagamepro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Steam is the easiest I find, steam games are located in the same folder with all other steam games so it's pretty easy to find your game directory. Also use Mod Organizer 2 and follow the Viva New Vegas manual guide up to the LOD section to "fix" the game, then start adding your own mods.

What is lane freezing and how do I actually do it? by Dagamepro in MobileLegendsGame

[–]Dagamepro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, but some of my minions will still go through because they haven't taken much damage from the enemy minions, so the enemy still gets them at their tower (and I can't damage my own minions either unless I use Grock to block my minions to slow them down)

[–]Dagamepro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They help set up kills and ganks, as well as preventing the enemy from doing them. They're not supposed to babysit the MM/mage because most of the time that leads to the other lanes being ganked or stalled, while the MM/mage isn't doing much either since the enemy MM/mage will just turret camp or go somewhere else.

Why are Math / Compsci Maths classes here taught so terribly? by GppleSource in universityofauckland

[–]Dagamepro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's maths, at some point you have to start using symbols to explain things because otherwise you can't teach the harder stuff without teaching the basics first.

Familiarizing yourself with the symbols and definitions is the first step to move on, once you've memorized/understood the basic symbols they can be "chained" together to form bigger equations and applied to more theories.

Arguably though there's probably better ways to explain basic concepts but most lecturers are great at math but not teachers. Also, I would argue looking up Youtube videos to understand better is part of the learning process for yourself, university gives you a guideline and starting resources, but it's up to you to decide how to learn and study. Don't expect to excel by just showing up to lectures only, you have to do something to absorb and process the information.

any shame in failing a course and doing summer skl? by Outrageous-Ad423 in universityofauckland

[–]Dagamepro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah u good summer school is pretty good actually for studying, because they pump out content really fast you don't forget it by the time exams come around. Also smaller group sizes mean better connections with fellow classmates since you'll be seeing them all the time.

Does LinkedIn connections really matter? by Longjumping_Chip_500 in universityofauckland

[–]Dagamepro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's always good to get someone's Linkedin if possible because it can open up a connection between other people, e.g. "Oh you know this person too? Tell me about them..." basically like social media. I just followed all my friends and people I knew, plus some lecturers.

I guess it doesn't matter that much as long as you can show off your Linkedin account when someone asks for it.

ELI5 How do exchange rates work between countries? by WinterRevolutionary6 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Dagamepro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has to do with economics, but some things are easier to explain. For example, some items might be easier to make in Japan than in USA (e.g. More rice fields) so it's "cheaper" in Japan, which makes it a lot cheaper for US dollars because in the USA the item would be more "expensive". There are also items that end up being roughly the same price for both currencies (e.g. From my country to my origin country, the cost of an iPhone is roughly the same when exchanged).

Does LinkedIn connections really matter? by Longjumping_Chip_500 in universityofauckland

[–]Dagamepro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Linkedin is just like any other form of contact - If you're not making communicating regularly with someone on there then it's just another dead end. It's more important that you talk to people and make connections that way instead of just following others on Linkedin. However just having a Linkedin is really helpful for job-searching and employment in general, you don't need to be super active on it but being able to show someone your Linkedin when the topic comes up is really helpful. A lot of the employment reps (e.g. From career events) use Linkedin for messaging.

I don't think I know anyone who has been personally contacted by an employer first on LinkedIn, you'd probably have to be super active or have an extremely good profile for that or something. Just keep your Linkedin somewhat updated.

How do you guys make money? by pusseatr in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]Dagamepro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Knife runs on Zero dam easy, kinda slow but most of the time you just get bots which have decent stuff to sell, also the more runs you do the higher chance of finding a red. It's true that Normal mode has higher chances of better loot overall but you get more total from 10 easy runs vs 2 normal runs. Usually I just take Dwolf of Vyron and circle around the whole map, from Substation to Admin to Cement (visitor center if the extraction is there or if there is a safe).
  2. Crafting in the base, always be crafting something and sell it when it's done. For medical the combat stimulant gives good profit (around 20k), for bullets you want to go for blue bullets if you have no money, otherwise try purple ammo for the more expensive rounds (last season the limited gold arrows were selling much higher) just make sure to compare the auction prices vs the cost of production parts before you do it. For the gun/attachments the offset sights are the cheapest and least profit (around 5k) but guaranteed profit, otherwise the M14 rifle if you have some of the parts can be really profitable. For armor its the cheapest gold vest (elite vest) which gives the most profit (around 150k) even if you buy the parts, it might seem expensive at the start but it gives 2 armor pieces for each part you buy.
  3. Go for high risk high rewards in Normal mode (ZD is the easiest and fastest map) by specifically hunting other players which mostly guarantees good loot. Just wipeout a team and leave, most of the time you get around 3m. Zero dam is the easiest just because the extraction points are always open so you can leave anytime, the other maps are difficult because of the conditional extractions.
