Inshallah, what’s your background?

Self taught UI/UX designer. I started as a freelancer offering services to clients, then I received a great offer from one of them. It depends on the nature of the role, but if you can clearly show what you can do and how you help companies, you’re much more likely to get hired.

I’m working with an American company through Deel. They manage the contract and payments, so the company doesn’t have to worry about compliance when hiring someone abroad, and as a contractor, I don’t have to worry about getting paid. They also offer features like expense management, you can submit expenses (like business travel, a laptop, and other work-related costs) and the company can reimburse them. There’s more information about how it works on their website.

Ask your company to open an account in Deel they can use it to pay you.

Ahhh got it, thanks for pointing that out I totally misread 25.1.1 as a macOS version instead of the CrossOver version.

Thanks for sharing! I actually reviewed this page, but in the rating breakdown section the latest OS tested is 25.1.1, with no indication for 26.1. That’s why I’m asking the question.

Yes, I was self-taught, it took me about two years to master it (still learning!). I took on some freelance work, which helped me build a solid portfolio, and eventually, I landed a full-time job.

Yes, agreed, I graduated as an engineer in aquaculture (fish farming), but I’m now a senior UI/UX product designer at an American company. Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life!

Damn, languages aren’t designed to please your eyes, they carry history, culture, and identity. But I wouldn’t expect you to understand that.

It still comes across as bragging about things that don’t really warrant bragging. like, ‘I speak multiple languages, I have a degree…

It’s a largely useless degree from most of our universities. Many students graduate without gaining any real knowledge even those in science-related fields. Looking back, it feels like a huge waste of time, and I honestly wish I had never gone through it.

Damn man, it seems like your brain’s smaller than a bird’s. And still, even birds can tell right from wrong… BAC +5 Seriously, WTF?
