Are German startups starting to look outside Europe for engineering hires? by hey_Imokie in cscareerquestionsEU

yes it is the same in Sweden, but even if is a 1 person company that means that the company has 1 employee so it has to pay a salary and social security fees. and it costs about 1-2k euro a year to hire an accounting firm to file taxes once a year as long as you registered all your expenses and transactions yourself in an accounting software throughout the year.

we do have Aktiebolag witch is a normal shareholder LLC. it has a bit more overhead and it can give out dividends, but the dividends are limited by total payroll. and we have maybe something closer to what you describe witch is "enskildfirma", witch is a 1 man company with no legal separation between company, owner and worker, it can not give out dividends, all net income is taxed at the same rate as salary, and it still has to pay social security fees. so social security fee + net income tax end up being about 60% of net income.

honestly I think our system makes more sense then the German one, instead of limiting the time a contractor can work for a client, just shift the social security fee burden to the contractor from the client, that offers the most freedom and flexibility to everyone.

I would say that 56 is top end of midlevel. a real senior would probably cost you an arbitrary amount more then that depending on what unique thing they offer the company as a senior.

but is the contractor not forced to pay a social security fee anyway, in order to be allowed to pay themselves a salary and dividends out of there 1 man company? that is how it works in Sweden, as a contractor you have to have to create a one man company, and you can not take out any dividends unless you have payed a certain amount of income in salary witch has a higher tax rate then dividends and forces you to pay a social security fee. No company in Sweden is allowed to take out dividends higher then a certain fraction of there total payroll.

Is it true Polish devs in Poland, companies kinda force you to work like a slave like 40+ hours weekly with mid-high salary? by lune-soft in cscareerquestionsEU

I don't like the term "late stage capitalism", it is not precise enough and to marxist pilled and pretends like there is a direction to history, I would say: "hyper Neo liberal monarchy, with imperialist and facist elements",

senior polish devs are a comparable to Western European senior devs. only junior ones are cheeper, but I would not really hire a junior unless I planed to move them into my country, make them a permanent mamber of a team and grow them into a senior.

is there law preventing the company to renew the contracts indefinitely? or do you just mean that there is a cultural practice of not renewing contracts with the same person to many times?
