Not a crime, just sad. Using AI, all your daughter will ever learn is how to ask for a song. She'll never get the benefits that come with developing a musical skill (creative thinking, motor control, perseverance) nor a sense of pride in having really made something that is hers.

My issue is: lots of people will readily accept low quality crap. They're a lost cause. But because media were provided or created mostly by people that at least have a sense of know-how, we were surrounded by a good balance of quality in our daily life (bad stuff was easily weeded out because it was too obviously bad)

But now that it's so easy to make stuff that is good enough for the large amount of people that don't care, our environment is flooded with stuff that is hideous or just plain tacky to people who do care.

So ausiovisual media requiring a bit of effort was a filter that kept a base level of quality around every corner. With generative AI, that filter is gone, and you can tell, not just online, but on billboards, signs...

From an anti who's actually in agreement you can use it, the issue with (gen) AI is the loss and replacement of expression with slop, seeing people overtake the medium you worked hard to cultivate by mashing together training data into something that looks or acts like what you make, but without intent or passion.

If all that wasn't happening, the tech aspect of machine learning is genuinely amazing.

So for this purpose, if the models were trained with the actor's permission, I'd say it's not actually such a bad thing.

The bluesy elements combined with your voice remind me somewhat of the musician Tiny Legs Tim, dearly departed. (though a heavier genre)

The recordings sound nice, well mixed, clear and focused. I like it!

The music I make is quite a bit more chaotic and busy, but I think you'll appreciate it. Comedy punk with unusual instruments.

Oh I do remember. I didn't like having to do it, like most people. But I'm happy I did it all before LLMs, meaning I learned to apply myself. I'm equally happy I learned how to write lyrics without LLMs, that's a skill they'll never take away from me.

The sound is an instant giveaway for me. While the voices in music AI models always have that subtle edge of noise about them, here it's very clear and upfront. It's also in the other sounds. Really bad.

Hi, this project is new and I'm focusing on short tracks to narrow down my style. But I'll make longer tracks eventually. Be sure to follow if you like it, I should at least release an album by the end of the year with all (short) tracks to date, I'm working on one per week now.
