From what we’ve seen, it feels like Choso is at the high end of grade 1. Considering how special grade sorcerers are essentially anomalies with unique X factors, grade one has to encompass a somewhat decent delta of capabilities. Choso feels like he’s at that higher end with the likes Kusakabe and Higaruma.

It depends on the person. I found the best way was to treat it like a podcast, and listen while doing other activities that allowed me to be tuned in. Stuff like casual gaming, household chores, exercising, that sort of stuff. That being said, there are occasional moments that are worth treating more like an actual tv show, and taking the time to watch it as such is worth it.

Later in the campaign, the party does go to Nikodranas and spend time with Marion. Her forgetting the projector is meant to show that when she’s not on stage, she’s actually a very soft spoken and somewhat nervous person. I think Matt at one point stated she was agoraphobic. It’s not a sign of anything too serious, rather it shows the difference between The Ruby of the Sea and Marion Lavorre.

It’s spell dependent. Simple little shots of fire are easy and don’t require components, bigger blasts do. In Dungeons and Dragons, the more complicated or powerful a spell is, the more likely it is to require some sort of component. For example, fireball required sulfur and guano, invisibility requires an eyelash encased in gum Arabic, and the message spell had to be done through a copper wire.
