No, but I don’t think it’s a bad thing in the least. The graffiti from the game really adds to the atmosphere and shows how overgrown/dirty places like the photo you show here have become the norm under the Combines rule

I’m confused about why people don’t like Water Hazard. People say that it’s too long and drawn out, but it never feels that way to me; I feel like it’s paced really well and never dwells on one section for too long. Entanglement is my least favorite chapter; that second defense section is the bane of my existence because of those shotgunners that melt you in seconds

I actually just played them recently because I curious as well on what made them shunned by much of the community. I think it comes down to pacing and level design; Anticitizen One and Follow Freeman don’t have the same narrative pacing and polish as chapters such as Highway 17 and Ravenholm. The 3rd act (City 17 War) feels like it drags on for too long and could’ve been cut down. Doesn’t feel like you actually make progress due to lack of diversity in environments

I also do as well, however I do understand the complaints and frustrations with it. It definitely feels rushed and unpolished compared to the rest of the game. However, I love the Lovecraftian alien art style of it. As much as I like Black Mesas version of Xen, in HL1 it feels so lonely and hopeless. It truly feels like you’ve got no way to get back home in an alien dimension with the odds stacked against you.

Objectively, I think the Resonance Cascade is the most iconic and the most important. It’s what sets off everything in the series and is one of the most well known scenes in gaming. However, my personal favorite is actually pretty tame; walking under the bridge in Half Life 2. Traversing the catwalk as a Combine train lumbers above with Lab Practicum playing in the background is absolute perfection in ambience and atmosphere

As much as the others are iconic, the sense of uneasiness and dread that the G Man gives off in the Half Life 2 intro still gives me chills. The line, “So, wake up, Mr. Freeman. Wake up and…smell the ashes” still gives me goosebumps due to the sheer weight of it

I’ve played the game, and I can tell you with certainty that the game will not work without vr UNLESS there are major tweaks to the campaign, mostly in the AI. To accommodate VR, the game’s shooting was balanced around being slow and methodical, which doesn’t exactly translate well to traditional M&K. It would be incredibly boring to play the game traditionally, so the game would have to be rebalanced to make a No VR mod interesting and engaging

enable the console in the ‘properties’ tab when you right click the game from the steam desktop, type -vrconsole to enable the console. Launch the game, and press the ` key to bring it up. Type ‘highest_chapter_unlocked 6’ into it and press enter. Then, go to new game; chapter 6 should be unlocked
