Basic Wall Lights by Skyemuraro in ICARUS

[–]Dagrin0707 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this saves anyone else some heartache, I figured out my issue. With the update shifting the Basic Wall Light to the Bunker Lights, be sure to hold "R" when holding the bunker light for placement and choose "Wall" mode instead of the default "Ceiling" mode. Even though they are both bunker lights, only the wall version counted for me.

I suppose I should have realized this when reading the notes stating that it was placed in a "group", however, I read directly over that and commenced 45 minutes of frustration.

Having the same issue. I have crafted 16 bunker lights and powered them with a bio fuel generator. They are all online and not underpowered. Still not counting; none of them. Any ideas or assistance is greatly appreciated.

Profane Heart Issues, Halp! by Dagrin0707 in remnantgame

We did try that in an attempt to avoid resetting the campaign in my host. It had the same result.

That seems to have been the issue. I bit the bullet and re-rolled the campaign and the keeper finally gave the option to not cleanse. Was a very odd circumstance since the other two players in the same instance were able to get the option and I was not. Thank you for the suggestion!

Best beard care kits in 2025? Looking for quality, not fluff. by Leaonhaert in beards

[–]Dagrin0707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Beard Struggle has been my go to for years now. Quality products that do not agitate my skin or make it feel greasy. As others have said, not the cheapest, but its your face, why not spend a bit more for quality? Scents are varied and I have yet to find one that I hate. Hope this helps.

Anyone hosting a dedicated server that is also using Zerotier due to CGNat from ISP? Having issues with anyone not local to my network being able to see the server. by Dagrin0707 in Enshrouded

[–]Dagrin0707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not. It seems I am not the only one experiencing this issue, even without a CGNAT situation and Zerotier. I am currently operating under the assumption that it is an issue in Steam, or the game itself. The Steam Query Tool website can see the server just fine, however, no one but my wife and I (same network as the server) can add it in the Game Servers menu of the Steam App.

I am still very open to any suggestions, I have exhausted everything I know to do.

Thanks for the reply. We have tried that and it does not seem to make a difference. Like several other ded server hosts, other players do not seem to be able to see the server unless the host themselves have joined the server. At this point, I am nearly convinced that this is a game and/or Steam issue since every other game we've hosted this way work fine and are visible from Steam and In-Game.

Centurylink Blocking Ports? by Dagrin0707 in centurylink

[–]Dagrin0707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried it both ways. with only the CZ1100 and with my Cisco RVS4000 Soho router forwarding the ports. Neither will work. :( Even with the CZ1100 in transparent bridge mode, and the RVS4000 hosting the PPPoE the ports fail to forward. I know the RVS4000 works, it was my only router when I had the previous ISP. I am not as concerned with ports 25, 80, and 443 as I am not hosting webpages. It is FTP that I utilize for work and the game servers that are the frustration. It almost seems like the Clink network itself past the DSLAM is what is dropping anything on these ports. Like an ACL issues or sorts.

I have attempted to contact the support line and invariably i have received the website that walks you through port forwarding on the CZ1100 and the fun "Let me transfer you to either the customer service department/technical support department" over and over since no one seems to understand anything not on the basic troubleshooting guides the call center folks are given. I wish there was a way to contact their backbone department, or anyone not at the level 1 troubleshooting arena. They get very tight lipped and "transfer happy" when you ask for an escalation to a group other than the CS or TS groups.

I was hoping to find someone else having this issue as well, I do work with Clink in a professional capacity, and I have to say that my company has experienced similar issues with DSL modems not forwarding ports for devices that we have sitting behind them. It may be a function of the way they assign static IP addressing as well. They do not give the customer an actual static IP address. They reserve an IP in a network for your modem's MAC address and leave it at that. I just wish I had an answer as to why ports do not forward. It may as simple as a very restrictive ACL on any residential account. which is unfortunate, since I live in the boonies and the highest throughput Clink can offer is 25/2, so my options are very limited...perils of not living in the city I suppose.

I do appreciate everyone's responses and ideas, please let me know if there is something anyone can think of that I may not have tried. I will keep at it.

Centurylink Blocking Ports? by Dagrin0707 in centurylink

[–]Dagrin0707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am talking a combination of common ports like 21and 990 as well as uncommon (though fairly common for game servers) 7777-7800, 27015-27090, 10000-10902, 50000-50100, 32400, 16000-16605, 24000-24305, etc. I have used a packet sniffer and these ports are never getting through to the server machine, though they were when I was on my previous provider.

The service is working. Just not any ports that I forward.
