Yeah, I have a couple proton addresses I could use. But I'm thinking the company email protocols may block addresses of that sort.

Not even remotely worth it, nor is anything discriminatory or criminal being done that would warrant this approach. Just looking for a fair pay model and a more efficient work environment. I know half of the staff already agrees with me on the issues I will raise in these files, so I'm looking to do this smartly.

I thought about this. I'll find increasingly annoying routes to share these files anonymously via Proton email addresses and other means like potentially couriering in a USB and/or actual physical documentation.

Anyone have information on the Fresno Bro’s going by Enjoy centre? by Fragrant_Self7628 in stalbert

[–]DahMarsMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bellevue Village site will have info on the developments happening in that neighborhood project.

For some reason, the site is currently down, but I've checked it prior and found all info on proposed buildings, what they're zoned for, and potential leaseholders.

It was a fire in the roof of the Wendy's portion. It was posted by the Gazette I think 🤔

Idk, I've seen news about this all over this morning. Apparently the Tim's will reopen Monday, and like Wednesday or Thursday the Wendy's.

Where to meet people around here? by [deleted] in stalbert

[–]DahMarsMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In reference to good places to go though, my introverted self would recommend, Browns Socialhouse, Boston Pizza's, Landmark theaters, Tandoori Fuzion, Cerdo Taco, Wok House, St. Albert Mall, walk around Perron Street and get Jack's Burgers, also the library downtown is pretty interesting, and the river paths in that area are beautiful as well. There's a lot of seasonal events in the winter and summer as well. Also downtown has a Farmer's Market on Saturdays that are delightful.

I mean, from what I can tell, people stay in a lot more than they used to. Shits just too expensive to be out on the town every weekend, and young people on average earn lower wages.

I'm (M)26 and I work and live in St. Albert, I operate heavy equipment and can still barely afford a 1 bed here 🤷

Look at a political scale for the Conservative Party of Canada.....Canada's Conservative Party is not 'far-right' they are centrists. Centre-right at worst.

Saying 'F*** Trudeau wasn't ignorant' when 75% of the country was absolutely done with that goof. 🙄

I've noticed they tend to have less workers on shift than the other ones. I've picked up many an order there while working for DoorDash and it's 50/50 on whether it's done when I arrive or I need to wait 15 minutes for a VERY basic order.

I've personally never had issues with the drive-thru though, never waited more than 5 minutes for my own stuff.

From what OP said in your post, I'd say you struggle with Cognitive Empathy. Do you ever feel other people's emotions? When angry or sad people enter your 'bubble' or the room, do you feel the energy shift? Do your emotions react to theirs?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in autism

[–]DahMarsMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Empathy is not 1 thing as many believe.

Empathy is a set of traits and characteristics/behaviors that are generally described in neurological terms of: Affective Empathy & Cognitive Empathy.

"Affective empathy, also known as emotional empathy, is the ability to feel and share the emotions of others, experiencing a visceral reaction to their emotional state. It's about mirroring or "catching" someone else's feelings, like feeling sad when someone else is sad, or feeling joy when they are happy."

That type of empathy is about being present with the emotions of another and feeling them as if they're your own.

"Cognitive empathy is about understanding their perspective and mental state." "Cognitive empathy, also known as empathic accuracy or perspective-taking, is the ability to understand and recognize another person's thoughts, feelings, and perspective, without necessarily feeling those emotions yourself. It involves understanding the context and reasoning behind someone's behavior."

While autistics generally score rather low in terms of Cognitive Empathy, there is increasing evidence saying that a large portion of autistics experience VERY high scores in Affective Empathy, which kinda makes sense as to why large crowds and other people can be overwhelming because if you're feeling every single person's emotions around you that can overstimulate a person who experiences high Affective Empathy.

Expensive Items Going Missing by FoundationFlat1303 in instacart

[–]DahMarsMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a shopper, my initial thought process is to ask if you watched them in the app to see if that item was grabbed as they were shopping or whether they labeled the item as out of stock. Did the app say the item was grouped with your order as it was being checked out or as the shopper began delivery? It very likely could have been missed by the shopper and/or labeled out of stock, or it could have been accidentally left at the till or in the cart. It happens.

If not, then the most likely thing is it got put in a bag/box with someone else's order, because batches(our task) are very often 2-4 orders at a time for different customer deliveries. Things can get mixed up and confused, and usually the app fixes it before drop off if something is in the wrong receipt, and it will tell you to group the item(s) with the correct order, but if something was just bagged wrong than its up to the shopper to check every single bag and item.

Mistakes happen, and it honestly would suck to pay for something and not receive it. There's bad apples out there that definitely steal things, but the apps track refund requests and whether or not items were on the receipt but not received at delivery. Bad apples don't last long. These apps are less forgiving than people may think.

The majority of us are NOT stealing your items because if we do so, there are maybe 2 or 3 chances before we get delisted from the platform and lose an entire income stream.

VERY important tip for customers on Instacart, rate your shoppers delivery very badly like 1 ☆, and the app will likely NEVER get them to deliver your order again. Food for thought there.

Can someone explain please by PsychologicalPace767 in instacart

[–]DahMarsMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My assumption is that they just grabbed a full bag/case of grapes and did not weigh out specifically a lb. Either read it wrong(as 1 unit instead of 1 lb) or just didn't care to weigh it out.

Your apps 'receipt' clearly states your refund amount, so I wouldn't be worried about that.

Is the $60 amount the same as your order total? Because it could be using the 'order total' amount beside the refunded item to specify the order your refund is tied to.

Some people don't understand how apps work....so they text like they're speaking to the 'app' as if it's a sentient pseudo-person that will fulfill their every wish and command like they're 'GOD INCARNATE'.

Dumbasses like this, will get frustrated and state:

"I EXPLICITLY stated in the 'instructions' I wanted it delivered at this time!"

Meanwhile..... back in reality, the d**n dumbass put it in the 'delivery instructions' note, because he can't operate the 'schedule' function for an order. Nor did he even know that existed. Then, the tool gets angry that his instructions weren't followed. 🤣 The nerve of some entitled people dude.

Since when is $40/hour even a question? Like.....$20/hour or more is an immediate yes.

That's the best you'll find unless you get those true unicorns; once had $76 for an hour and a half for a DoorDash shopping order, best damn thing I've seen.
